The New Normal?

I understand communication barriers are now in place. I also know it is for a season and not something to accept for years to come as a new normal. To me it is a form of isolation being separated from each other with social distancing. We were created to be close and uplift one another. Then there’s the mask that covers our facial expressions which is another lack of communication! It is crucial to our wellbeing to be encouraged with a smile or other positive gestures. Touch such as holding or hugging our friends is another important part of our existence which has been taken away.

How can people say this is the new normal and we need to adjust to the change?  This is not normal but abnormal and let’s pray for a healing solution instead of accepting it as being normal.

I know through personal experience…We can have a great affect on someone with a simple smile…Warm Hugs can go a long way more than you can imagine…A touch from your hand reaches the depths of ones soul…They are a part of life and our reason for living!! Without them what is there? And I know the Lord will make it happen again.

So, in contrary to accepting the new normal, let’s pray for deliverance from this virus so we can move forward and be the people God has created us to be. A people of faith, a people of love and a people that believe with God all things are possible, and we can be powerful if we not only believe In His word, but act upon it and walk In the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Isaiah 43 verse 19 God says,

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God wants to do a NEW thing, greater than our minds could ever imagine! He says it and I believe It. So let us focus our attention on Him and His promises. And fear not for we are redeemed and called by Him and we belong to Him. Nothing can harm us, for He is with us and always by our side. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours, so leave it up to Him, He is bigger and all we have to do is trust Him.

How about If we take a leap of faith today and accept God’s word on the NEW thing He will do and do not accept the world’s dictation of a new normal. Let’s take that step beyond the ordinary and allow God  to do the extraordinary that only He can do, if we let Him. Let’s believe for the impossible and live above, instead of down under and enjoy the many benefits and blessings God will bestow upon every believer. Let’s don’t settle for less but only God’s best!!

This word flowed from my heart in the early morning hours and I pray it will encourage you! God bless, you are loved, Jan (Lollita Faith)

  1. I agree with you 100 percent and feel strongly that these measures we must take to stay well are only temporary and soon we will be blessed with being able to socialize normally again! It is indeed a lesson in patience but we will experience happier days in the near future!
