Rest

I was looking through some of my writing and came across this one that the Lord put on my heart on New Year’s Day of this year. May we not forget His word to us and His love for us. Whatever we have gone through in the past 9 months, God has been faithful and will remain faithful till the end, so let’s lift up our hands and hearts and give Him all praise!

Jesus says…

My peace I give to you not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. Come My child, enter into My rest. I have made My home In your heart to dwell with you. Let us make the most of these moments together. As I sacrificed My life for yours, I made you worthy. You are righteous and set free from chains of darkness. Forget those things that are behind you, I have begun a new life in you, I have chosen you and you are My precious jewel. You are set apart as My possession for all eternity. You belong to Me and you are Mine. I rescued you for My heart alone. Nothing or no one can separate us. I am the one and true vine, cling to Me. Let go of thoughts that bind you, Lay them at My feet, and drink of My living waters. Do not let your heart be troubled nor afraid. Give It all to Me and let My grace and love, grow in you. I will dry your tears and replace them with My Joy. I am here to support you and lift you high above. Let Me comfort you and fill you with My presence. I will replace your worry with My peace. I embrace you with my prayers at the right hand of My Father. Trust in Me, I will not leave you, nor forsake you. You are kept safe, and until My return thoughts of you shall overflow…

Let this be our prayer…

Lord Jesus

I will cling to You and never let You go. These intimate moments with You are essential, so I may grow in Your love and grace. I will make each moment count in Your sweet presence. I will take the time and turn off all distractions. You are my first and foremost attraction above any other. I will set myself apart from the world and pattern myself after You. My desire is to please You and be more like You. I love You and I need You every moment of every hour. I will embrace Your word and cling to You always. For this world is not my home, My heart is my home with You, I am kept, I am hidden, in Your heart alone. Thank You for Your mercy and grace and great love! I will wait, I will wait with great expectation of Your return. The sweet sound of Your voice as You call out my name, will be music to my ears. I will run to You and embrace Your love and never let You go. Lovingly Yours …

Receive this word and Receive His gift of peace and let us enter into His rest. We have nothing to fear for He is with us and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Thank You Jesus for sharing Your heart with us. Thank You Abba Father for the gift of Your precious Son. Thank You Holy Spirit for You are also a sweet gift we treasure.

Love and prayers everyone, Lollita

Choose Change and Rearrange

When I think of all the times I have changed and rearranged my living room it is unbelievable. I like things arranged a certain way but then a couple months later there I was rearranging the room again and putting all the furniture back the way it was. Making changes in your home is good and can be enjoyable when you get a little creative. But how about my life?

Well in my younger years I made some choices and changes that were not good for me and not so nice consequences followed. However, I’ve learned throughout the years how to live with contentment and be happy instead of being discontented and miserable.

The journey began for me in 1998 when I went back to the church I vowed to never return. I was a prodigal that left the fold 10 years earlier and during those years I certainly made some choices that caused a lot of pain and tears. Then I chose to change and rearrange my life, but I knew I couldn’t do it without the Lord. It’s true, I have a free will to make my own choices in life and God doesn’t do it for me; but I needed Him to help me. I was the one though, that needed to take the necessary steps of action. With every choice there is a consequence, so it was important for me to make the right choices. With determination to succeed I learned to discipline myself to complete the necessary steps. It didn’t come easy, but it was well worth the effort to sacrifice and let go of what I wanted and surrender to God’s will. Now my life lives according to His word…By the mercies of God, I will be a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto Him which is my reasonable service. I will not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. I will choose to change and get in position and take possession of my present condition. {Romans 12:1,2} What an exciting journey it has been and still is. Nothing else can beat the love, peace and joy God gives!!

God bless

Believe in Yourself

In my younger years my self worth was low and I didn’t believe that I could do anything right. Throughout my school years I couldn’t seem to fit in with the crowd and failed in my every attempt to be accepted. However as the years passed and I learned who I was to God and what He wanted to do in me and where He wanted to take me I thought wow, yes I CAN do what He has called me to do and fulfil His purpose as I rely on Him and allow Him to do what He wants in me. I think a lot of people miss out on God’s dream for them because they believe He will do it for others but not for them.
Well, if you are one of them and think you’re not enough, think again because God is enough and if you think you are not able, God is able and He will do greater things through you, if you only believe. If you think you can’t, God can, through you. We can’t rely on our own strength and abilities, but His. We are all created and called for a purpose, so let’s believe we can do it through Him, and step out on faith and accomplish His perfect will
We are a child of God and we walk by faith not by what we see, but we walk in the power of God, and we can do all things as His word says in Phil.4:13 Let’s not miss out, but step out in the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul knew who he was and in 1 Cor. 15 verse 10… By the grace of God I am who I am and His grace was not in vain. Paul worked hard and he also knew it was the grace of God that helped him accomplish God’s plan through him. Now today, because of God’s grace we are who we are, so let’s work hard towards what God has called us to do, His grace will carry us through. Has the Lord asked you to do something and you have hesitated because you feel inadequate and unworthy? At times I do and I have to remind myself of who I am in Christ. This word speaks to me strongly and inspires me to keep moving forward and I pray it does for you as well.

God isn’t Finished Yet

When you think it’s finished and nothing can be done, think again, God can fix it, even when it looks impossible. Just when you think it’s over God steps in and works behind the scenes.

How many times does it happen in your life when you think nothing can be done! Well I have experienced it and to my surprise God wasn’t finished.

We planted a beautiful hibiscus last fall and we were looking forward to some awesome blooms this year. As spring set in we could see a sprout coming up through the ground. Our excitement turned to disappointment when our dog suddenly took a notion to dig it up. We shouted for her to stop but it was too late and what had begun to grow was ruined and we had to throw it out. However a few weeks later to our surprise a tiny sprout peeked out of the soil. Could it be possible there was still hope for it to grow? As the weeks passed it certainly had life whatever it was and before we knew it stems were shooting up and leaves were forming and new hope enlightened my heart. Will we see beautiful blossoms after all?

Well on August 1st little green buds were beginning to take shape.

And two weeks later to my amazement and delight there were two red blossoms the size of saucers dressed in beauty lighting up the garden. But that’s not all, every day since then more blossoms awaken and I must say I have taken great delight in it and take a picture of it every day. Each time I look at it I see the mighty handiwork of God in each intricate part He has created wow…What an inspiration this plant has been to me and I’ve learned from a spiritual point of view sometimes not so nice things happen to us and we feel uprooted and wonder if any good can come out of what looks like an impossible situation. Well, let new hope enlighten your heart because in the midst of it all He is still at work and as you wait on God you will see something new begin to happen and just when you think you lost you’ve actually won. Let God surprise you and work out the impossible for you! So don’t lose heart and watch, with great anticipation what God will do, and it will be greater than you could ever ask or think. Ephesians 3:20

I thank God for this memorable experience and I give Him all the glory and praise!

This is the plant blooming with delight in all of His glory! Nothing is impossible with God!

Blessings Erase Every Burden

I take great delight in watching the birds eat from our feeder! It’s especially fun when I hear the blue jays call out to let me know they’re hungry. We also have visits from cardinals, finches, red wing black birds, sparrows and even a woodpecker and more.

As the summer season is soon coming to an end, I like to spend as much time sitting out on the back patio. Time passes too quickly and before I know it, winter will be here. Well today is going to be hot, so I decided to have my devotions with the Lord outside before the heat rises, and I must say it was most rewarding…

As I gazed at His magnificent wonder around me my heart was captured…

I said,

“Lord how wonderful You are. I see You in all of Your creation. How lovely as I hear the song birds singing their song of praise to You. They each have a melody of their own in harmony with heaven and seem to fly with great freedom from branch to branch without a care in the world.” The scripture in Matthew 6 verse 26 says God our Father feeds the birds of the air and we are much more valuable to Him, then they are. He even sees the sparrow that falls and cares for them, so how much more does He care for us.

My eyes were then drawn to the hibiscus flowers that beautifully blossom only in August. This is their appointed time to smile and shine in all of His glory. Their beauty is short and soon will fade, but in their moment of time they glisten with glee, drawn to the light of the sun. Then the scripture in Isaiah 40 verse 7 says,The grass withers and the flowers fade as the Lord breathes upon them. We too are like the blades of grass, here for a season and then we are gone. I believe, this is my appointed time to shine in all of His glory for the whole world to see Jesus living in me. I will enjoy to the fullest all of His blessings that surround me moment by moment. This year happens to be my first time planting a pot garden and I’ve watched them grow and flourish from a seed to an abundant flow of food to nourish my body. I’m reminded that as I sow the seed of God’s word in my heart, it will also feed and nourish my soul and spirit giving me life. Psalm 119 verse 50. What an awesome God we serve!

For as the flower and grass are refreshed with the dew in the morning, so is my spirit and my soul renewed and refreshed this morning! I sing in all of His glory as He reminds me to focus on His blessings instead of my burdens. What great peace and joy I’ve received from Him today. I say, “thank You Lord for Your love and faithfulness! I sit here in awe of Your creation with lovely and pure thoughts that replace all my burdens and care. I know what I’ve seen with these eyes is just a mere taste of what’s yet to come. As I gaze up at the blue sky I can only imagine what a day that will be when the trumpet sounds and I hear Your voice and see Your face.” I know in my heart it will be even greater than my mind could ever fathom…

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Rain Down on Us

Love You Jesus, Love You Abba Father, Love You Holy Spirit

You are the Three in One living In us. It is no longer we that live, but You live in us. How beautiful, How lovely as You fill our hearts with Your Love, Joy and Peace.

Your Love so sweet and everlasting, we’ll cherish forever. Your Joy like fountains, springing up within our soul. Your powerful Peace saturates our whole being within and without…This is our prayer

O God, Your heart defines me, I am who I am, because of You. Come alive in me in every sunrise till its setting. Every morning I wake, I’ll surrender my heart, soul and mind to You, In every step I take, stay with me, lead me and guide me. Keep me close to You and in every move I make, make me more like You. Give me a heart like Yours. The three of You are working in me, plant Your thoughts in my mind and let my mind be stayed on You so I can be at peace whatever comes my way. Sweet desires of my heart are Yours, my hopes and dreams, are Yours and not mine. I surrender all and everything I do or say is Your works and words, not mine! Let me flow in Your Spirit as I follow You every step of the way…I give You more than just a moment and I won’t live in the memory of yesterday’s experience but every moment is a fresh new beginning with You. I give You all of me so I can have all of You. Love You always & forever

Sweet Peace

There is a peace in the world that is only a temporary fix and cannot truly satisfy the weary soul. Many are filled with fear in the uncertainties of the world today.
But there is a peace beyond that only comes from Jesus and He offers it to you right in this moment. In John chapter 14 verse 27 Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled or be afraid.”
Jesus offers you His peace right now, so receive it and let it fill your heart, soul and mind. Let go of everything that troubles you and soak In the beauty of His presence, meditate on His goodness. I pray His peace overflows you and no matter what you are going through right In this moment His grace and peace carries you high above every fear, every struggle, every trouble that overwhelms you, be gone in Jesus name.
You can walk on water as you keep your eyes on Jesus, but the minute you take your eyes off of Him as Peter did long ago, you will fall. Jesus wants you to trust Him and not fear for He is with you and will bring you through whatever you are facing today. God is bigger than all your problems, His promises that He gives, He keeps, and one of His promises is His PEACE! Let His peace overflow In and through you, and let His grace carry you high above all fear. Set the stage and shut off every distraction, turn on some peaceful worship music and meditate on Him and enjoy His peace. Another powerful truth is found in……Jesus will keep you in perfect peace when you keep your mind on Him. Isaiah 26:3
This word speaks to my heart and I pray it speaks to yours

A Word for You

If you feel overwhelmed…

JESUS says…

Do not fear, I am with you, I have redeemed you and called you by name. You are my treasure, chosen and adopted, my prized possession and you belong to Me. I have formed you for Myself and I take great pleasure in you! When your heart is overwhelmed I am your rock, your fortress, your deliverer. I am with you through rough waters and I will not let the waves overtake you. Neither shall the fire burn you for I am the Lord your God, your Saviour, nothing shall by any means harm you. I am beside you, I go before you and will make a way. I am your Light in the darkness, your shelter through the storm. Even when the path seems crooked I will make it straight, and a way of escape. I am behind you through it all and I won’t let you fall. You are safe in My hand and I won’t let you go. Trust in Me with all of your heart. I hear your cries and will dry your tears, do not be afraid. Let me comfort you with My peace, cover you with my grace and give you strength to endure. With My everlasting love for you come and dwell in My presence and I will give you rest…

Lord Jesus,

I believe Your word, and my soul will wait silently for You alone. My expectation is from You. You are my defence, I shall not be moved. You are my salvation and my glory, the Rock of my strength My refuge is in You. Amen and Amen

Isaiah 43, Psalm 62:5-7, Zephaniah 3:17, Psalm 149:4, Deut. 31:6

May this word be an encouragement to you and I believe He will do great things for you.

You are loved and in my prayers, Lollita

Only By His Grace

God says in His word it will rain on the just as well as the unjust. He didn’t promise us a perfect life here on earth and He did say we would have tribulations. But in the midst of it all we can cling to His promise that His grace will carry us through. When we are in our weakest moments.. in Him we are made strong. Sometimes we can be caught by surprise and hit by an unexpected storm in our life but the beauty of it all Jesus has a purpose and as a result of the storm He always makes something beautiful out of it. He works in our lives in ways beyond our understanding because He is higher and all He asks is for us to Trust Him for He will never ever let us down. If there is something you are going through that is big remember God is bigger and will do for you beyond what you could ever imagine. Just this past week I was hit with a storm and as I walked through it His grace carried me though each step. There were things I had to face and each morning as I began another day I said to the Lord, “Only by Your grace.” And it was beautiful as His grace brought me through it with opportunities for me to share His love and compassion with others. So whatever storm you are facing today cling to His grace and let Him work it for His glory. I pray this word encourages you and I pray for God to calm the waves and cause your heart to stir within you of His magnificent love for you… Confirmed scriptures of His precious and powerful promises are in 2 Cor.12:9, Matt.5:45, Romans 8:28, and in John 16:33 Jesus said, These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. One day we will be with Jesus so remember my sweet sisters and dear brothers we are not home yet but we are on our way and soon it will come when we will hear His voice and see His face and we will be home at last. What a glorious day that will be! Until that day let Him lift you by His grace. Love & prayers, Lollita ❤️❤️❤️

Remember the Lord, Great and Awesome

In Nehemiah chapter 2 at the end of verse 18 They said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. They were laughed at and despised and they said, What is this thing you are doing? V 20 But Nehemiah answered The “God of heaven Himself, will prosper us.”

Chapter 4 verse 6 when they were halfway up the wall, people came against them but nevertheless they prayed and kept an eye on them. In verse 10 their strength was failing them, and Judah said, we are not able to build the wall. There adversaries had plans to kill them and cause the work to cease verse 11

Then Nehemiah had a plan and positioned the people in designated places and said to them, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome!”

Then God had brought the enemies plot to nothing and they went back to work on the wall. Verse 15b He also said, “Our God will fight for us!” Verse 20

So, they labored in their work and completed what they were assigned to do. Is there something the Lord has called you to do? Then rise up and build and set your hands to do this good work…I love the scripture in Psalm 90:16,17 and the Lord reminded me of it this morning and I personalized it and made it my prayer to Him, and may it be yours

+Lord, Let Your work appear to me Your servant and Your glory to my children. Let Your beauty O Lord my God be upon me and establish the work of my hands, yes establish the work of my hands. Holy Spirit, I love you and my heart is open to obey. Lead me, guide me, fill me to overflowing with Your power. Keep my eyes focused, my ears attentive to Your voice, with my mind filled to overflowing with Your thoughts and my feet to walk in Your way with Your wisdom, so I may accomplish all that I am called to do! I believe I will triumph in the work of Your hands, working through mine. Amen and Amen+

In the end when His work is completed in and through us there is a glorious outcome in more ways than one and as we trust Him and obey victories are won!…In Psalm 92 verse 4 it says, “For You O Lord have made me glad through Your work, I will triumph in the works of Your hands!!” Hallelujah, we will triumph as we trust Him and follow His leading. Even when people come against us and say what are you doing? Well, as back in Nehemiah’s day, we will not be afraid, but we will remind ourselves, Our God is great and awesome!! We will continue to follow with confidence knowing that God Himself is with us and will prosper us. When we are halfway there, we won’t give up but look at where He has brought us so far and keep moving forward to finish all He has planned. Remember in verse 20, of Nehemiah chapter 2, God will fight for us!! And yes He will for us today, we cannot fail, but win, for with God all things are possible!! I pray this word is a blessing to you and I thank God for all that He does in and through us from this day forward! Love & Blessings, Lollita

Good Morning

To those who are troubled or fearful, I bless you with this word the Lord has put on my heart…

“You are My servant, I have chosen you and I have not cast you away. Fear not, I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you, yes I will help you. I will hold you up with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:9,10

What a precious, powerful promise to hold onto today. He loves you and He is faithful to His word and He will accomplish all He has promised you.
Love, blessings and prayers, Lollita ❤️❤️❤️ 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Don’t Lose Hope

DON’T LOSE HOPE ❤️
I know what it’s like when you’re in a middle of a storm, you want to run but there’s no way out. You feel trapped and there Is just no escape, well I want to encourage you today that no matter what your present situation is, it is not your final destination. There is brighter days ahead that you can’t see right now, and you know why?
You haven’t arrived there yet, but trust me, it’s just around the corner and when God turns the page at the right time you will see a new chapter begin that you didn’t see before.
Every chapter of your life is destined for a season, don’t cut it short by not believing It can happen for you, because it can and it will. God writes your story and let it end on a good note, don’t take the pen and try to write it on your own, because it won’t work and could end up disastrous. So all you have to do is sit and pray till the storm passes over and when it does, you’ll be able to think more clearly! Then your eyes will see the path ahead as the fog clears. Sometimes taking that step of faith Is waiting on God and simply trusting in Him and as you do He’ll come through for you!

Be blessed and encouraged by this word because things are going to get better…you are all important to me and you’re in my prayers, so don’t lose hope!
Love and prayers God bless, Lollita ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Renew your mind with this refreshing truth…

Because of the Lord’s great mercies you are not consumed, His compassions for you never end, Every morning they are NEW!! Today is a new day to begin again…

Great is Your faithfulness O God! You are my daily portion, moment by moment I seek You! I will always place my hope in You, for You will never fail me…

God is good to those who wait for Him and seek Him. So hope in Him and quietly wait on Him. He allows struggles to only make you strong. So put your trust in Him, His compassion overflows for you from the multitude of His mercies. He will see you through this day and every tomorrow.

Meditate on Lamentations 3 verses 20-26 and know you are loved always.

Be blessed, Lollita

So Close

Whatever you are going through always remember the Lord is by your side. He will never leave you and will make a way for you no matter how impossible it may seem. God is bigger and can do greater than we could ever ask or think. I wrote this poem in 2001, when I realized He was always by my side when I was suicidal…

God is Near

Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven’t been on my blog for quite sometime but I’m glad to be here today to give you this word of encouragement.

When you are going through troubles it doesn’t mean God has left you alone, He is still near…He is at work weaving a more beautiful ending to this chapter. He is breathing new life into all the broken pieces, bringing everything together more amazing than ever…

Do not fear or worry, for He knows exactly how to fix it and all you have to do is sit back and simply trust Him. He is not finished the work He has begun in you and is working miracles for you!

We must live by faith and not sight! What we see may not be pleasant at the time, but we need to keep our eyes on Him and nothing else. Take pleasure in His promises and all He has planned will miraculously unfold in His perfect time.  Believe & Receive all that He is doing in you, through you and for you! God is faithful and He won’t let you down.

Here is a promise to cling to found in Psalm 34 verses 15-22

He is watching you, and His ears are open to your cry

The Lord hears and will deliver you out of all your troubles.

He is near when your heart is broken and your spirit is crushed.

Yes, many are the afflictions of the righteous but His promise is

He delivers us out of them all!

Let’s rejoice and be thankful for we serve a God who listens and will

Work it all out …

Love & Prayers always

Exercise Your Faith and Be Beautiful

I believe the Lord has put this word on my heart not only for me, but for you as well. Walk in the power of His word and watch the mighty work of His hands come to pass in your life. What God says He will do!! I am excited about this word and I pray it will excite you as well!!
“Exercise your faith and be beautiful” for you are created to be more than you could ever think in your mind…Know who you are and who you belong to and what you can accomplish through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you. You can do all things through Christ, for He gives you the strength. Phil.4:13
~No one can separate you from His love! Romans 8:38,39
~No one can close the door God has opened! Rev. 3:8
~No one can stop His hand from working in your life! Isaiah 43:13
You are His possession, so expect opposition and don’t believe the lies, but obey the truth, for when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him!! Isaiah 59:19
Have faith with great expectation and sweet anticipation, for soon there will be a great celebration! Excel in His excellent greatness and you will accomplish His magnificent plan! Allow Him to move through you and don’t give up but keep in step with the Spirit daily. Galatians 5:25
You exercise your faith as you read and meditate on His word. He will also energize you and keep you fit for the future. So, let go of the past and reach forward to the things of the future. Phil. 3:13. Enjoy each present moment and get excited for He will do greater things for you than you could ever ask or think!! Ephesians 3:20
Another important point in James 2:14-26 it says, Faith without works is dead, so let’s not only read His word and meditate on it but walk in obedience to it. When the Lord speaks as sometimes He will, it will always be according to His word.
So, get READY!!
What He says, Do it…Where He sends, Go for it.
God bless you everyone!! Love & prayers, Lollita ❤️❤️❤️🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I will take the time and turn off all distractions. You are my first and foremost attraction above any other. I will set myself apart from the world and pattern myself after You. My desire is to please You and be more like You. I love You and I need You every moment of every hour. I will embrace Your word and cling to You always.

Thank You Jesus for sharing Your heart with us this New Year’s Day. Thank You Abba Father for the gift of Your precious Son. Thank You Holy Spirit for You are also a sweet gift we treasure.

Love and blessings everyone, Lollita (Jan)
