I am a suicide attempt survivor. Through all the deep dark valleys I walked, suddenly I discovered a light at the end of the tunnel shining so bright, greater than I had ever seen before. How was it possible for a woman such as I, to have come so far in life, with nothing but loneliness and despair, then suddenly I'm rescued? Could it be possible it was for such a time as this? There are too many people today that are ending their life needlessly. I am now an advocate for suicide prevention. My passion and prayer has become my mission to share my journey to make a difference in someone’s life and I believe it is possible!
“Christmas will always be Christmas because Jesus will always be Jesus. He was born as a babe in Bethlehem and was crucified on a cross to save us and He shall remain the same yesterday..today and forever! And no matter what men say or do..No one can ever change the History of the Greatest Man who ever lived and died and rose again.
People of yesterday tried to destroy Him and failed and men of today who try to deny His existence shall also fail..for Jesus Christ is and was and is yet to come.”
Christmas is in Christ Alone, He is the reason for the season! He is my reason for living and I pray others are awakened to see Jesus alone is the true meaning of Christmas and as long as I have air to breathe I will proclaim His name! For our hope and our help is only in Him. He alone can save, He alone can heal, He alone gives life and more abundantly!
The greatest gift He gave was His life to save ours from sin and death…and the greatest gift we can give Him in return is our heart and life this Christmas season. Because of Him, no matter what we are facing today, He gives new life for today, new hope for tomorrow, and a new place to dwell with Him forever. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
“Because someone bumped into me!!!”
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It’s easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves… “what’s in my cup?”
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let’s work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Years ago my heart was torn and it felt as though God was a million miles away. I remember that moment so vividly like it was yesterday. I have no recollection of what caused me to feel that way but I certainly haven’t forgotten the pain I felt. There was nowhere to run, there was no one I could turn to but to Him. I cried out in such anguish. I remembered the times that we shared and how desperate I was to feel His presence once again. Was it possible to get back to where I once was or was it too late for me? Through the tears I struggled to write this prayer but before I could finish a miracle happened. He touched me, oh how He touched me deep within. I was refreshed and revived within minutes, how was it possible? No word can express His marvellous wonder, no man can explain His miraculous power!! All I know is He heard my cry and He answered the prayer of my heart…
Lord Jesus,
Listen to my hearts cry…Carry me to Your secret place, where I once was. Refresh and revive my weary soul. Let me see You in the sweetness of Your glory. Let me feel the beauty of Your presence. Surround me with Your Love now and always. It’s in these trying moments I thirst for more of You! Dry my tears and let me feel your waves of peace overflow…..
Suddenly I was lifted up once again into His marvellous presence. He refreshed and revived me, what glory my eyes could see!!
Streams of Your Joy, spring up from the depths of my soul, I arise in Your infinite power, refreshed, renewed and made whole. My mind cannot fathom Your mercy and love. I’m alive once again by Your grace. I’ll dive deeper in Your living waters…Thank You Jesus I give You all praise. Amen and Amen.
All I can say is if you are going through a similar situation give Him a chance to prove Himself to you. He is as close as the whisper of His name and He waits for you to call upon Him while He is near. Call out to Him and He will answer and show you things beyond what you know or could ever imagine. Jeremiah 33:3 Let Him touch you today and lift you high above for with Him all things are possible.
I believe there are many hurting right at this moment and God sees your tears and He hears the cries of your heart! I feel led by the Spirit to reassure you, there is nothing to fear, even though you feel overwhelmed there is hope In the Lord and His word. He will never let you down and you can count on Him to keep His every promise! I’ve seen God do mighty miracles just recently and He wants to do the same for you…
JESUS says… Do not fear, I am with you, I have redeemed you and called you by name. You are my treasure, chosen and adopted, my prized possession and you belong to Me. I have formed you for Myself and I take great pleasure in you! When your heart is overwhelmed I am your rock, your fortress, your deliverer. Lean on Me! I am there with you through rough waters and I will not let the fierce waves overtake you. Neither shall the fire burn you for I am the Lord your God, your Saviour, nothing shall by any means harm you. I am beside you, I go before you and will make a way. I am your Light in the darkness, your shelter through the storm. Even when the path seems crooked I will make it straight, and a way of escape. I am behind you through it all and I won’t let you fall. You are safe in My hand and I won’t let you go. I fight the fight for you, Trust in Me with all of your heart. I hear your cries and will dry your tears, do not be afraid. Let me comfort you with My peace, cover you with my grace and give you strength to endure. My everlasting love for you will draw you to Me! Come and dwell in My presence and I will give you rest…❤️❤️❤️

Only God can do the impossible and He can work the supernatural for us all which is far beyond our natural thinking. When He begins to move in our life we sit astounded at what He has done. He is truly amazing and if you wonder how can I speak with such confidence, it is because I have experienced His miraculous power in my personal life, my marriage, my family and I know without a shadow of a doubt He is willing and able to do miraculous things for you too. God has called me many years ago to be a mighty woman of prayer to tear down the enemies plans and crush every trick or scheme he has against the body of Christ and also to build up and encourage my fellow brothers and sisters with words God puts on my heart. For those who are at this place in great need of prayer I believe God has put you on my heart this morning because He desires to do great things for you. I’ve received many prayer requests recently and I am touched deeply by each one. I weep at times with the various struggles people are going through and my heart felt prayers pour out to all of you who are hurting ,whether it be from a broken relationship, salvation for a loved one, grieving for a lost loved one, anxiety, or suffering from sickness or disease. Or you may be going through a difficult situation financially or seeking God’s will and wisdom on which step to take and much more. I speak God’s powerful word over you right at this moment. With faith we can move mountains but sometimes we have to wait on His timing. That is difficult when you are suffering to wait on Him, BUT He sees the bigger picture and all we have to do is trust in Him and His word and He will do the rest. Then there are moments when He suddenly and so unexpectedly, performs a miracle. Well today I release God’s power over you I pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon you to raise you up high above the natural and I’m speaking and believing you will receive healing in every area of your life. In the heavenly realm you are healed and I believe it’s only a matter of time when you will see the miracle working power of God manifested in you and for you! I will keep on praying for I believe it will come to pass. There are many powerful scriptures I pray over you that I posted yesterday and I believe each one causes His hand to move, however there is one that He has placed in my heart to share with you and it is a powerful promise that I believe we will see come to pass in your life and mine.
It is found in Habakkuk chapter 1 verse 2,5. Habakkuk cried out to God, O Lord how long shall I cry and You will not hear?
And the Lord answered, Look among the nations, and Watch…Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days, which you will not believe, though it were told you. Maybe you are feeling the same as Habakkuk and you have cried out to God many times and feel He isn’t listening. BUT the Lord has heard and claim this promise for you today
Look and Watch as well, and be utterly astounded for He will work in your life in unbelievable ways! Lord, we give You all praise for all the great and might miracles you will do and You will receive all the glory!! Amen and Amen!
Let’s expect the unexpected and be utterly astounded at what He will do!
How important it is to be accepted and belong to someone or something. I remember as a young teenager I wanted to be accepted by my peers and the harder I tried the further I drifted.
When I think of all the pain and tears I endured over the years trying to fit in and the unfortunate thing was, everything I tried didn’t work. But now I’m excited to share, I’ve finally found where I belong. Close to God’s heart is where it’s at. He’s the perfect fit for me and how wonderful it is to belong to God’s family. That is who we are, family! and we belong to God and to each other. We are all important to Him and His thoughts of us are more than can be numbered. And do you know what else? He loves us just as we are and it doesn’t matter what we have done in the past we are accepted by Him and He will do something new in us. You are drawn to His heart by the Holy Spirit. You are special to Him and He delights in you and you are chosen by Him and He takes pleasure in you. Praise God! So, whatever you are going through right at this moment you can rely on His strength to carry you through. Sometimes it is hard to pray when you are lost for words and all that’s left are tears. May your heart be touched by the Holy Spirit in a miraculous way as you pray this prayer…
Dear Jesus,
In the secret place of Your heart, You hide me, You set me upon a rock. You calm each storm, and still every wave, You make me glad as You give me Your peace, You bring me into Your desired haven. I offer a continual sacrifice of thanksgiving unto You. I will call upon Your name and praise You forever. My flesh and my heart may fail at times, but You alone are the strength of my heart and my portion forever. It is good for me to draw near to You. I put my trust in You and I will declare all Your works. Blessed be You, Lord God. You only do wondrous things. Butterflies have always fascinated me and the beauty they portray in the pattern of their wings is truly amazing. We may delight in seeing the beauty of the butterfly, but have we ever thought for a minute the struggle it had to reach its fulfilled destiny? This past week has been quite a challenging week for me and I’m determined to not give up but keep moving forward. Through this experience I was reminded of how similar we are to the caterpillar and we too struggle through life. I was inspired and out of my heart flowed these words…
As a butterfly emerges from the cocoon, she forces herself out to strengthen her wings for flight…You are like a butterfly in the final stage of entering your destiny. Push forth by faith to reach a higher realm of God’s glory. You are destined for this moment for such a time as this! No matter what comes against you or who tries to stop you, God is greater and He will see you through. Pursue with passion every promise He has given you. He allows the stages of the process to only make you stronger. So, carry on and fulfill His purpose in you. Keep pushing and let nothing stand in your way. You were destined to be from the beginning, and watch when you reach the end, how beautiful and how lovely in the unfurling of your wings. You’ll be strengthened by His Spirit, overflowing with His grace and glory beyond, what you ever thought possible!
Enraptured by His favour your pattern is set from the tapestry of heaven. He has destined you to excel with His new wings of love to take you higher than you ever imagined!
In the end when you flutter with sweet fragrance and fulfil His great plan for you, you will see it was worth it to endure! So keep on pushing through and enjoy the glorious outcome! The butterfly represents endurance, change, hope and life and so do we.
I am excited, aren’t you? Let’s pursue with passion His purpose and no matter how long the process takes, always remember the harder the struggle the more beauty is portrayed in the end. It will take discipline and hard work to reach your destiny but it will be well worth the effort.
If I say “My foot slips” Your mercy O Lord will hold me up! In the multitude of my anxieties within me Your comforts, delight my soul. Ps. 94:18,19
My heart was captured by these two verses and I thought wow when my foot slips God’s mercy will hold me up! In other words He knows we will fall and fail but because of His great love and mercy He lifts us up. Then as I read in the multitude of my anxieties His comforts will delight my soul! Then I wondered ?? What are some of His comforts?
I pondered David’s feelings in those moments as he wrote these words, and wondered what God’s comforts were that delighted his soul…then as I read Psalm 119 verse 11. David said to the Lord, “Remember the word to Your servant upon which You have caused me to HOPE. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me LIFE. God’s word to him gave him hope and life. Now from my own personal experience I can say the same! God’s word gives me hope and life. There was a time in my life I was suicidal but His word comforts me. Let’s look again at the beginning of verse 19, In the multitude of my anxieties…yes there will be times we are overwhelmed and anxious but God makes a way for us to escape…
Now I share with you my personal experience step by step… I first find a quiet place in my home and shut the door. I listen to worship songs that usher me into the place of His presence Psalm 91:1 says He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Then I pour out my heart to Him of my concerns, and when I do He pours in me His peace and calms my spirit, soul and mind.
As I bask in the beauty of His loving presence, I open the Bible and ask Him to enlighten my eyes to see wonderful things from His word so I may be taught how to walk in His ways and be pleasing in His sight. God always comes through for me and I journal daily His personal word to me. (When I first started my journey I knew I had to read the Bible but it was difficult to understand and I had no idea where to begin. One day I opened it to the book of Psalms, a scripture popped out at me and I meditated on it during the day at work. I was amazed at how it strengthened me and as I continued day after day, I was being transformed little by little and my love for the Bible grew in leaps and bounds, especially for the book of Psalms. David had a heart for God and wrote his feelings of desperation and great victories from his personal relationship with God. My desire was to have a heart of love for God like he did. But that’s not all, his writings touched my heart, because I could relate to them in so many ways. They inspired me to have a heart of worship, praise and prayer. )
I love God’s word and there are so many precious promises, that delight my soul for they tell of His great LOVE
Love…(He will never leave us, nor forsake us) Many times in my life I’ve been left alone and let down. But not anymore God loves me more than anyone ever could.
His Peace…( the peace He gives is beyond the peace the world offers) For years I tried to find peace in the world and found only emptiness.
His Joy…(In His presence is fullness of Joy) There are no words to explain His joy but it is miraculous and it is more than deep within for His joy can also express itself with great excitement and laughter.
His mercy…(is new every morning) How wonderful is His mercy
His faithfulness…(is great and He will remain faithful) My life proves God is faithful and He has transformed me beyond the believable. He has always been there for me over the years and He will always stay.
His grace…(is sufficient to carry us through every struggle) It is amazing and His grace not only saved me but His grace miraculously carries me when I can no longer walk through the storm.
His strength…( I will go in the strength of the Lord and the power of His might) There is a strength I’ve found like no other and it certainly can’t be found in the world, but only comes from Him.
During this daily process I’ve found there is a bonding that takes place between His heart and mine. My love for Him grows and trust begins to take root deep within. I now can say as David did long ago, God’s comforts delight my soul and I can face another new day. He didn’t promise we would have no problems, but He did promise He will never leave us nor forsake us. No matter what comes my way The powerful love He has planted in my heart for Him grows each moment I spend with Him in His secret place. Then roots of trust in Him grows deep within me and as my love for Him blossoms, fulness of JOY overflows in His presence.
From Glory to Glory In the past I was always a fearful person and I couldn’t seem to let go of the fears that had me bound. I ended up accepting that fear was part of who I was and there was no getting out of it. My mind was riddled with fearful thoughts and there was no peace, but you know one day I opened my bible to 11 Timothy chapter 1 verse 7, and little did I know the glory that was about to be revealed in me. The verse states that God does not give me the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (NKJV) Right away I thought, if fear is a spirit and doesn’t come from God, then it had to come from somewhere and it was the enemy filling my mind with fearful thoughts. Well just a few days later I received a call from a family member who was in crisis. In that moment, fear like a fire rose up within me then suddenly the scripture in 11 Timothy quenched the flames. I suddenly realised I had to turn it all over to God and I took my stand not to give in to fear, but to hold up my shield of faith and trust God through it all. I spoke life from God’s living word and said…
+I Refuse to let the spirit of fear over take me +I Receive God’s Love in His Promise and I Trust Him +I Release the Power of the Holy Spirit to take over +I Rest in His Promise of a sound mind
At times, fear can also be a natural reaction when something occurs beyond what we can handle. But that’s when we can stand on God’s word and apply the power of His promise to work on our behalf to overcome our natural response. To my surprise I learned as I took control of my feelings and refused to accept the spirit of fear, I received a wave of peace from the Lord. I believe as I spoke those words and put my trust in Him, I released the power of the Holy Spirit to take over the whole situation. It was a miracle and as my mind rested in His promise, I was able to go on in victory the rest of the day. It could have been a disaster for me if I allowed my mind to get carried away in fearful thinking. But instead I experienced a glorious outcome. And you know something? It ended up my family member also made it through and everything worked out. But that’s not all, you know what else the Lord showed me? The verse in 2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 18 states we are changed into His image from glory to glory. Have you ever wondered what that means? Well to go from glory to glory is to ever increase in His glory by being continually changed into who God has created us to be and increase in His character and nature of God. How exciting to grow through His grace from glory to glory and no longer be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. (Romans 12:2) As I learned this lesson, my whole experience was a perfect example of rising with more of His glory. To be more like Him is all I desire and I know it is an ongoing and growing process but the most glorious, ultimate outcome is living with Him for all eternity. If you right at this moment feel like fear is trying to take control, I challenge you to speak the power of God’s word over your life and don’t settle for less. The Lord doesn’t want us to live down under, but high above the troubles of this world, He came to give us an abundant life, and we can live it here on earth. Praise God! (John 10:10) Enjoy the journey with Jesus from glory to glory. He loves you and He will always see you through every fearful situation.
Are you feeling insignificant and unworthy? Do you feel others are more gifted than you and there is nothing you can offer God? You may think He only works in and through people who are more popular or talented. Don’t pay attention to those thoughts that say you can’t do anything. You matter to God and He created you for a purpose . In my own life at the beginning of my journey with the Lord I attended a church where so many people were gifted and so well liked and appreciated for what they could do. Then I looked at my life and I actually told the Lord, I don’t know what You would want with me. There is nothing I can do and I could never match up to others. At that time I felt like the boy with the little lunch in Matthew 14 and I said Lord, all I can offer you is my heart for I have nothing else. And do you know what He answered? He said give what you have and watch what I do with it. Well, when I look back over the years I see God working in me in miraculous ways. He has taken my life as a prodigal and has given me promise beyond what I could have ever imagined. And He can and will do amazing things through you and you know what? All you need is a willing and submissive heart and He will do all the rest. Just surrender to Him all of your heart, give to Him all the failed attempts where you tried to succeed on your own. Then ask Him to give you His dreams and visions for you, then watch what happens.
God sees the bigger picture in our lives and He desires to work in you His perfect plan. This picture He is painting is only a blur at the beginning, however, as we follow Him step by step and stay close to His heart, and meditate on His word, we catch a glimpse of what He has in store.
With His brush in His hand He begins to paint on the canvass of our heart and each step we take according to His instruction we start to see the beauty unfold in a vision or dream. I believe the portrait is complete when we go to be with Jesus for all eternity, but until then, He has a plan for us while we are here on earth and that is exciting! When we walk close to Him moment by moment, He will fulfil it in us through His Holy Spirit. But you know something? there are some who take the brush in their own hand and try to make things happen. But to live a successful life in Christ, He has to have His way.
It’s important to walk with Him on a daily basis and as we do, our eyes are enlightened along the way and by faith we see beyond the natural and hope rises up stirring waves of joy in our hearts.
This HOPE that I’ve experienced when I started my journey I see it as a GIFT from the God of all hope. Romans 15:13…Hope that God gives is not the same as hope in the world.…God’s hope gives true happiness that doesn’t fade and with a longing and yearning, you’re driven with great desire to move forward to see the outcome. God’s Hope is planted in our spirit by God that no words can explain! When you experience His hope you are driven with passion to pursue His magnificent plan and there is nothing that can stop you. Hope is ignited in your heart and spreads like a wildfire, you can’t contain it and with excitement you keep it alive as you plant His word in your heart and the Holy Spirit fans the flames.
I am excited because there are so many things I want to share of my journey. At present I’m working on my experiences with the hope God has engraved on my heart and I pray it will one day bless others to believe they too can do all God has promised.
Have you taken a good look at the beauty around you today? A friend asked me that years ago and at the time I didn’t answer him, but I did ponder it later that day. The truth was, because of my state of anxiety, I didn’t take the time to appreciate the beauty of God’s creation around me. My mind was caught up in all my problems, and I couldn’t see anything else. Well I’ve learned over the years, it’s important to live in the moment because that’s all we have right now. God didn’t promise us tomorrow and He also didn’t promise life would be perfect. However, there are many promises written in His word to focus our minds on. You are alive and breathing today because God has a purpose for you. Your time is not up, so enjoy what you have, be it bitter or sweet and be thankful. Get out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. There is always someone worse off, so take a good look at what you have and be kind. Give to others who are less fortunate, even a smile can change someone’s day. Be loving and pray, for many are suffering all over the world…Rest In God’s love as you look beyond the clouds around you and let’s hold on to our eternal hope and simply trust Him in everything. I was inspired to write this poem and I pray it will encourage your heart…
Don’t worry bout tomorrow, for it may not come to pass Nor live for what once was, for there shadows of the past But live life to the fullest in each moment every day For there’s beauty in the present if you let God have His way His presence lives within you if you look around you’ll see His faithfulness so great, mercies new for you and me His love it never ceases, but abounds yet more and more Take this time to spend with Him, it’s you He’s living for He listens so intently with nothing in the way For you to Him are priceless He loves your presence every day. I certainly missed out on years of pleasure in the past and a lot of it was my own fault and lack of knowledge on my part as well. Time sure passes quickly and back then I didn’t realise how fast. Now my kids are all grown with families of their own and many times I say where has the time gone. However, I’m glad God has given me time to enjoy my family and the beauty of His creation around me. When you are up against a struggle and no matter how big it is, remember you are not alone, God is with you. But as time goes on and you feel you can’t bear it anymore, that’s when God steps in and rescues you.
How can I speak with such confidence? Well, He has done it for me more than once and I believe He’ll do the same for you. Just recently I was going through a most difficult situation, I knew God was with me and His grace would carry me, but as time went on, it became more difficult to cope. In my desperation, I called out to God and asked Him to help me, for I could no longer bear it. And you know something? He did, and suddenly my situation made a complete turnaround. In fact, so quickly that I was shocked. God is faithful to His word and He cares for us. He certainly didn’t promise we’d have a life without problems, but He did say He’d be with us and rescue us, and He has, and He will, and He’ll do it again and again! So if you are going through a struggle right now and find it too hard to bear, hang in there and call out to Him and He will answer and show you great things you can’t even imagine right now. Jeremiah 33:3. Our God is faithful, a miracle worker and He does beyond what man can do. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone, so, let go of the weight that is overwhelming and let Him show you what He can do!
Have you ever wondered why wild flowers of various kinds blossom on the sides of the highway and even on mountainsides and in fields?
Where do they come from and who planted them?
Well I remember this one day as I drove along the highway and looked out at the wild flowers I felt as worthless as they. But you know something? I learned a lesson that day that touched my heart and made me realise that those flowers were more than just weeds. They were planted by God for a purpose! Not only that, God created me for a purpose and I am significant in His eyes, no matter how others look at me or what they may think or say. That evening I was inspired to write this poem and from that moment on when I see the wild flowers along the highways or country roads I’m reminded of my worth and I smile and say, thank You Lord for what You have taught me…
“There is beauty in wild flowers, but their looked upon as weeds, They are growing for a purpose, for it’s God who plants their seeds. You will see them on the highways, in fields where no one dwells. They are blooming in green pastures, where he leads us His words tells. If you feel just like this flower, in the distance set aside, Remember there’s a purpose if in Him you will abide. If you feel the same as I once did, well I hope your spirit is now lifted and you realise how important you are to God. He has a great plan for you and will lead you to your divine destiny and His dream for you.
There are over 100 scriptures that tell of our worth to God, here are just a few.
“Lord You are righteous in all of Your ways, gracious in all of Your works. You are near to all who call upon You, to all who call upon You in truth. You will fulfil the desire of those who fear You. You will also hear their cry and save them.” Psalm 145:17-19
“You are near to the brokenhearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18,
How wonderful that we have a God who listens! He hears our cry and He is near. Whatever you may be going through right at this moment, He is there with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will rescue in times of trouble. I feel in my heart there is someone that needs God more than ever and this is my prayer for you…
Father God,
Thank You for Your word and Your powerful promises we can cling to. Stay near to all those who call upon You and may they feel Your peaceful presence. Comfort them I pray and may they look to You with great expectation, knowing that You will rescue them and meet all of their needs. Bless them Lord I pray, keep them strong! In Jesus name, Amen

I remember so many times in the past I would build something out of nothing. It started when someone planted a seed in my mind with a negative comment or I was faced with a situation I couldn’t handle, and I would blow it out of proportion. Thought after thought built up in my mind and I feared the outcome. It was so bad I would worry to the extent that I couldn’t focus on the things I had to take care of that day.
My mind was in turmoil within minutes and I was sure that a disaster was about to occur. But you know something? When I look back on all those times, nothing ever happened as I thought it would. Do you remember the saying, “it’s all in your mind?” Yup, that’s where it was, all in my mind! Well I learned that I had to take control of my mind and not let it control me before it causes me to be anxious and fearful. I had to capture those thoughts and replace them with the thinking and meditations of God’s word. Now I’m at a peaceful place in my mind, but I’m always on guard and I can’t neglect it or I will be back where I started and get carried away with needless thinking. However it took work to get there, it didn’t happen over night.
I had to acknowledge the Lord and trust Him and as I built my relationship with Him, Wow, what a difference and what peace and joy I experience in my everyday life. Well just yesterday I picked up a little notebook in the dollar store and on the front cover it was titled, Thoughts. I love to journal so I’m going to write little golden nuggets from scripture each day pertaining to renewing my mind.
My first page I have written Philippians 4 verse 8.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any virtue and anything worthy of praise, meditate (think) on these things.”
Another one I recorded is in 2 Cor. 10 verse 5..And it tells us that we are to “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Taking your thoughts captive simply means gaining control over what you think about. My mind is tricky at times and still tries to take over, but I give it to the Lord and as I dwell on Him and His word, my mind is renewed and refreshed and ready to go about my day, walking in victory!
I can’t believe how fast the summer has flown by and soon the new season of autumn will appear, or has it already? Just the other day in the backyard I came across a reddish coloured leaf on the ground. It wasn’t the greatest looking with a few dark spots on it, but it was the only one to be found and as I looked up at the trees all the other leaves were green. I thought wow that’s different and it certainly was a sign to me, that autumn is about to arrive. But before that happens and the leaves fall, they will be transformed into magnificent colour. They will blend so beautifully together and they may not know it at the time, but their season is coming to an end. But it’s not over, the tree is not dead, there is more yet to come in future seasons.
Then I thought of how we too, go through an autumn season of our life. We may feel like this little leaf that I found marked and different from all the rest and insignificant, or, we are feeling comfortable, in magnificent colour and just when you thought everything is good, then suddenly you are hit with a windstorm and plans fail and you fall. But first and foremost we must always remember God allows things to happen only for our good. He may remove and take people or things away from us, but not for us to lose, but to gain more than we could ever imagine. Autumn may break us, but we’re not completely broken because God still loves us.. and when some things end, He is still working behind the scenes and puts the pieces back together more beautiful than before. He paves a path for new things to begin. Even when plans fall to the ground and we don’t understand, greater things are about to rise, beyond what we could ever ask or think. So, If you are in this autumn season of your life, remember it is not over. Now Is the time to trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t try to understand what is not meant to be understood. I don’t know how many times over the years the Lord brought to my attention the scripture in Proverbs 3:5,6 to trust Him and not lean on my own understanding and as I acknowledge Him in everything He will direct my every step. I always tried to figure out what God was doing in my life but as I did, it only caused stress and confusion for me. So now I do my best to leave everything up to Him and He will work everything out, but I’m still human and I struggle at times. However I pick myself up and when change happens and things don’t make sense, I think back to the past where God came through for me then, and He will again now. So don’t lose heart, this season will pass for you too and you will blossom and bloom again all for His glory…so in the meantime while we wait, let’s plant seeds of righteousness and give Him all praise. Keep our minds on Him and look above, for greater things are about to take place. This is our time to rest and put our trust in Him with great anticipation for the future. Col.3:2

Soon summer is coming to an end but what a wonderful season it has been for me. I love the simple things in life and I have enjoyed my garden of flowers and the birds so sweetly singing.
It was my first time planting vegetables, some flourished and some didn’t. But overall it was most rewarding and an inspirational season in many ways. When I think back I remember one day in particular, it was so hot and as I walked over to the bird feeder to add some seed, a light shower of rain touched my face. I welcomed the cool refreshing and my heart and mind was enlightened and inspired to write these words…
As the soft showers of summer refresh me, so does God’s raindrops of Grace refresh my soul. Oh how amazing, beyond all comprehension. I’m lifted high above all my fears and failures. His grace erases all my tears and as I awaken to a new sunrise, Joy Overflows my heart, soul and mind, I can hardly contain it. I’m strengthened within and without, I give Him all praise!
God’s grace is amazing and when He showers us with raindrops of grace, it is refreshing, strengthening and we are able to carry on, even though we live in troublesome times around us. The world can certainly be a frightening place and everywhere you look there is disaster, tragedy and nothing but bad news. But the good news is we have hope because we know God is our refuge and strength and we are safe and sheltered by Him. No matter what comes our way He is with us and will never leave us and better yet, He has prepared for us a place with Him for all eternity. What an exciting thought to dwell on instead of being fearful of all that is going on. So let’s keep our eyes on Jesus and our minds fixed on Him. Let His amazing grace refresh us and carry us through to the end. I believe the simplest things in life can have the greatest impact on our well being, so indulge and enjoy, all God has created!

I cast off and destroy the spirit of fear for it does not come from God. I speak His power and love upon you and a peaceful sound mind to reign so you can move forward by faith to all He has destined for you. 2 Tim.1:7
I cancel every assignment that the enemy has planned for you and your family.
I rebuke every negative word that has been spoken against you today. No weapon that comes against you shall succeed. I silence every voice that falsely accuses you. Is. 54:17
The eyes of the Lord watch over you and His ears are open to your prayers and the cries of your heart. The vision He has given you is set for an appointed time as you watch and wait you shall see the glorious outcome He has planned right from the beginning. As you delight yourself in Him He will give you the desires of your heart. Ps.37:4 God preserves you because you love Him and as you call upon Him He will answer and deliver you. He will set you on high because you know Him. Ps.91:14
As you walk in the midst of trouble He will revive you, He will stretch forth His hand against your enemies and His right hand will save you. Ps.138:7
I pray through every tear God will give you great triumph. Ps.126:5,6
I pray you will take courage for God will strengthen your heart. I believe God’s favor is upon you and as you seek Him first and His righteousness all things will be added unto you. Matt.6:33 I pray you will cast your burden upon the Lord for He will keep you and will never allow you to be moved from where He has placed you. Ps.55:22 believe He has plans for you to prosper you and not to harm you but give you great hope and a future and no good thing will He uphold from you. I believe in the many afflictions you are going through right now the Lord will deliver you out of them all as He has promised in Psalms 34:19
I pray you will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, putting on the full armor of God so you can stand against the tricks of the enemy.
I pray as you wait on God your strength will be renewed and soar as an eagle.
I pray your eyes will be enlightened to see your light affliction, which is but for a moment, will work for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory 2 cor.4:17 I pray the peace of God will continue to guard your mind and rule your heart Phil.4:7
I pray God’s grace will overflow in abundance to lift you high above every circumstance you face. 2Cor.12:9
I pray for His presence of love to pour on you in those times you feel lost and alone.
I speak victory over every fault or weakness that causes you to fall for you shall rise and overcome and be more glorious than ever.
I pray God will give you wisdom in making decisions and speak to your heart with faint whispers in the direction He wants you to take. Is.30:21
I pray you will be kept by the power of Christ through faith, strengthened by His joy, lifted by His grace and may your hope be built upon every promise in His word.
As a young person I wasn’t a good listener in school and I had no desire to learn either. I wasn’t a leader but a follower and always leaned on others to advise me. However, now as a grown woman I’ve learned the hard way the importance of being a good listener and not just a talker. It is a sign of respect to the other person but I’ve learned it is also most important to listen to God. He speaks to us through His word and there are times He speaks to us in our spirit. In John 10:27 Jesus said, My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. How wonderful it is to have the ability through the Spirit to hear Him and know Him in a personal way every moment. But there are seasons we go through when we can’t hear Him and in those times when GOD is silent He is still working in you, so let HIM work in you a greater revelation of all you can be through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. He teaches us in so many ways and what a privilege for Him to be our teacher. He is our helper, our provider and so much more and He wants us to lean and depend on Him for everything.
Let HIM mold us with a deeper insight into HIS word. Ps.119:67,
Let HIM fashion our heart with compassion. 2 Cor1:3,4
Let HIM renew our joy beyond your circumstances Hab.3:16-19
Let patience grow as we wait on HIM. Ps.27:14, James 1:4-8
The world is in such disarray and disappointments, but it’s important not to focus on our present problems but on the future glory that shall be revealed through us, as we endure to overcome. What a glorious outcome to dwell on. Romans 8:18
Let’s LISTEN to what GOD tells us in HIS word and let His principles mold our perspective.
Let’s LEARN to respond graciously and not emotionally to every problem.
Let’s LEAN on the LORD and HE will help us to solve them. HE allows temporary problems to build within us permanent benefits of a deeper dependency on HIM and we will receive a calm peaceful assurance in knowing that HE will keep HIS every promise.
Let’s be His sweet reflection to a world that needs Him more now than ever. Listen to His whispers He is calling us closer.
Let’s take His hand and follow after Him, He gives joy on the journey! God bless !
~I struggled with my emotions and many times they would fool me. When it felt good, I thought it was God’s will, but it wasn’t and on the other hand when I thought the worst, fear would strike me again and again. And when things didn’t go the way I expected them to, I would panic. I would build things way out of proportion and the outcome was never as bad as it seemed. Then one night it came out of nowhere like a sudden windstorm and I lost all control. About a minute later I stopped myself and said, “NO, I will no longer give into this behaviour.” I quickly wrote down all my emotions that overwhelmed me and I asked the Lord to help me. I was shocked at how many there were in such a short time it was unbelievable. I wrote out a prayer and prayed it over and over~
Don’t let me panic Lord but give me Your Peace. Don’t let me worry Lord but give me Your Wisdom. Don’t let me feel self-pity Lord but give me Your strength. Don’t let me feel guilty Lord but guide me into all truth. Don’t let me feel bitter Lord but build up new strength. Don’t let me think bad thoughts Lord, but only the best. Don’t let me be tempted Lord but let me trust You. Don’t let me think negative, Lord, but let me think new. Don’t let me be angry Lord but help me admire. Don’t let me try to figure things out but help me keep faith. Don’t let me feel lonely Lord but help me feel loved. Don’t let me think petty thoughts but let me praise You. Don’t let me be sad Lord, put a song in my heart. Don’t let me rebel Lord but let me rejoice. Don’t let me run away Lord, but just let me rest. Don’t let me underestimate, Lord, help me understand. Don’t let me fail Lord but let me have faith. Don’t let me give up Lord but help me go on.
~Not long after God’s peace calmed me, it was truly amazing. We can’t let our emotions control us. The Lord doesn’t want us to walk by our feelings, but by faith~
I WILL walk by Faith when all else fails. I WILL walk by Faith when fear comes upon me. I WILL walk by Faith when feelings overwhelm me. I WILL walk by Faith whatever comes my way.
~Another time I was caught up in my emotions and received a word from the Lord~
~+ Run with God’s direction holding on to His instruction not letting go. Run not on emotion, for eventually you will run on empty. Feelings come and go, and they will fail you. Keep running the race that is set before you and don’t give up. Hold on tight to what is right and watch His many blessings flow. Clinging to the past will only bring you disappointment, so let go of those things that bind you for they will wrap themselves around you and hold you back from winning your eternal prize +~
~I listened to the Lord and He changed my direction and the outcome was truly amazing. He did some miraculous things in my life when I took that step~
