In Romans 8: 5 it says for those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, keep their minds on the things of the Spirit. To be carnal minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. What does that mean? How can we keep our mind in check? Spiritually minded? How is it possible? We do have control of our minds and we can keep them pure and spiritual if we keep our minds on spiritual things.

First step is to keep our eyes on Jesus, when we look to Him our thoughts are focused on Him. It also says in the word to renew our minds and we can do that through reading and meditating on one scripture and take it with us and watch the power flow through us everywhere we go and in everyone we meet we can be a blessing. There are so many things in this world that can distract us and carnal minded is worldly minded. Distractions cause dissatisfaction and disappointment. Think with me for a minute what captures your mind when you first wake up and throughout the day…are you worried about things that have to get done and how are you going to do it all. Well how about waking up in the morning and lifting your heart and mind to Jesus and sit at His feet and give Him all your cares of the day and let Him take care of them for you. A beautiful promise is found in 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your care upon Him for He cares about you. He cares and He is alive, and He loves you and will work out all that concerns you, all you have to do is give it to Him, it’s that simple. If we don’t take these steps each day we are walking in our own strength and depending on ourselves to make it through. In Romans 8:14 it says those who are led by the Spirit are truly the sons of God. So, let us stay focused and listen to His faint whispers throughout the day so we can live a life of joy walking in His presence wherever we go. This is My Heart’s Prayer, let it be yours

A sweet sanctuary of worship, in communion with You In the depths of my heart, in whatever I do, In Your beauty of holiness, I’ll humbly dwell, whispers of Your love, telling me all is well, Your garment of praise, each day I shall wear, the spirit of heaviness, I’ll never bear, sweet Spirit of God, daily rests upon me, with Your understanding, new wisdom I’ll see, Your counsel You give me in the still of the night, when I’m weak, I’m strong, in the power of Your might, Sweet Spirit within me, all things are brand new Works You do through me, never thought I could do I now walk in the spirit how can this be? as I seek Your face, You come alive within me. Hallelujah !! Believe and Receive this word from the Lord for you and for me. Let this be our Declaration of Faith today.

~I will not live by what I see nor what I hear or what I feel, but I will live by the word of God and what He says and I stand on His every promise for He is the Truth, the Life and the Way.~

In this life we will suffer heartache, grief and affliction but we must rise above and walk in the Spirit believing all that He says in His word is true. We are called by Him to His glory and excellence and He has granted us His presence and great promises so we may partake of His divine nature. Through them we can escape from the corruption in the world 2Peter1:3,4 Through His promises we gain new hope and confidence despite what we see, hear or feel. They cause us to move forward walking in His presence holding high His every promise.

Jesus said, “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4

As we meditate on His word we are being renewed and transformed into Christ likeness from one degree of glory to another. 2 Cor.3:18

So let us live this day and feed on His word and every promise God gives us, so we may come alive and thrive from glory to glory. May this word encourage and lift you up high in Jesus name Amen and Amen

Is there something in your life you want to accomplish but fear has taken hold of you? God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. ( 2 Timothy 1:7) Stand on His promise of power in you, believe and receive all that He can do in and through you. Greater is He in you than he that is in the world. (1John 4:4) Trust Him and rest and He will not let you down. We serve God who is bigger than the mountains that come against you…

PRAYER OF FAITH….Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for your great promise. I won’t say I can’t when I can and I will do all the things you have called me to do. I will put away all negative thinking and put on a positive way of living according to Your promises. Thank You Jesus for giving me the strength to accomplish Your will for my life. I will not listen to any word that is contrary to Your word and truth. I will continue to walk in Your ways by faith holding onto Your great strength that will see me through this journey of life every moment of every day. I will not let fear take hold but I will be bold and trust in You and walk in the power You have given me with love and a sound mind. Thank You for lifting me high above all my circumstances. I read a word someone posted recently how people should fall in love! The writer shared a list of the simple things in life to fall in love with. It was written to encourage, and it was nice, but moments later my heart overflowed with waves of love for the Lord and all of His spiritual blessings and benefits. Then an old chorus went flowing through my mind, “I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over again…He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by, oh what a love between the Lord and I, falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again.” It’s important to fall in love with Him more every day and more than just singing words of a song …

Fall in love with His presence, fall in love with the revelation of His word. Fall in love with His whispers in the still of the night. Fall in love with the Holy Spirit, He will lead you, guide you, come alive in you, energize you and be your Helper everywhere you go. Fall in love with our Father and His plan and purpose for you. Fall in love with all the beauty around you that He has created for you to enjoy. Fall in love with all of the blessings He gives us every day. Ponder with me for a moment some of the things He blesses us on a daily basis. There are more than can be listed here but take the time to write what comes to your mind…

Fall in love with the promises in His word and meditate on them and they will have an everlasting imprint on your heart and life.

I love Ephesians chapters 1 & 2 as it speaks about our spiritual blessings

Fall in love with who you are because the shed blood of Christ has redeemed you. Fall in love with the fact that you are forgiven, you are chosen and adopted as His child. Fall in love with His promise in verses 9,18,19 that He will make known to you the mystery of His will and your eyes will be enlightened to see deeper through the Holy Spirit living in you. Fall in love with verse 13 where it says you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise and He is the guarantee of our inheritance. Fall in love with the truth in Chapter 2:5-7 that we are made alive together with Christ and we are raised up and sit together with Him in heavenly places. Fall in love with the privilege in Hebrews 4:16 that we can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive help in time of need. I could go on and on, but I will let you discover for yourself the beauty of God’s word and the benefits that belong to us as we walk in obedience to Him. May we continue to fall in love with Him more every day as we seek Him moment by moment.

In each promise God gives us the key

to open a door of greater possibilities and as we stand on His word & believe we receive a positive outcome in everything we go through. A beautiful promise the Lord reminded me of today is found in John16:33 {These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.} I share this with all of you to encourage you this day that no matter what you are going through believe in His promise & open the door of God’s peace & don’t let go!

Jesus has overcome this world so let’s Praise Him for this too shall pass away and we will reign with Him forever

which is far greater!!

~When we first come to Christ there is a fight between our flesh and our spirit. Our flesh wants to go one way and our spirit the other to follow Christ. Paul in the new testament struggled with the flesh in Romans 7 he says in verse 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate, I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Paul’s struggle is a deep personal struggle, with sin and with his own flesh. It is a war within. It is a war which results from his conversion, a war which did not exist until he was saved. But there is hope and Paul did get the victory but only through Christ. If you have any kind of addiction you can’t change on your own. Jesus will deliver and heal you and transform you. It is a process and it isn’t going to happen overnight. I struggled for quite a while as well near the beginning. If you recognize where you are at and you want to change, don’t beat yourself up when you can’t, because only through Christ you can. I remember when I first went back to church I was desperate to overcome my every weakness and I’d always go to the altar and weep before the Lord for help. I knew at the time I needed more than the way I was living, and I was helpless to do it on my own.  In fact, I went through Steps to Freedom in Christ by Neil Anderson. They were prayers I prayed to deliver me from things I was into over the years. A lady from the church took me through the steps and I was set free it was amazing. From that moment on it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders and everything around me was beautiful and my spiritual eyes awakened to a whole new relationship with Jesus I never knew before. There were strongholds in my life that were holding me back. If you are feeling dragged down it would be good to go through the Steps to Freedom in Christ. There is hope and His light will shine at the end of the tunnel for you and don’t let the devil tell you otherwise because he is a liar. Jesus will set you free and give you victory.  Phil. 4:13 You can do all things through Christ who will strengthen you.

If you feel you are running around in circles going nowhere and are ready to give up. Let JESUS steer you in the right direction. Let HIM enlighten your eyes to see the path that is set before you and HIS LIGHT of HOPE shall lead you all the way. Acknowledge HIM in everything you do and HE will direct your steps. Prov.3:5,6 The word HE gave you some time ago shall come to pass in HIS time. Your story is far from over and your next chapter is about to begin with a glorious unfolding. So stand on every promise of God for He has a purpose and plan for every step you take. Don’t look at what’s around you or listen to those who come against you. Don’t lose heart but rejoice!! I pray His word into your life this day that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart be enlightened, so you will know the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in you and the surpassing greatness of His power towards you. Amen and Amen Eph.1:17-19

~I believe God is going to move in our lives like never before so get ready my friends for the great wave of the Holy Spirit to flow through you and do great and mighty things beyond what you could ever imagine. When David saw Goliath, he was faced with a great tsunami that day but instead of running from it he looked on it as a challenge and was willing to change and not rely on his own thinking or on others but decided to conquer the giant with courage as he relied on the strength of the LORD. Let’s do the same as we are faced with giant waves in our everyday life. Let us also look on them as a challenge to change our way of thinking and conquer with courage great strength in the LORD to overcome each one.

God also at times takes us out of our comfort zone and puts us in a place we don’t like, and we may feel uncomfortable with it but through the heat of the process HE is stretching us as far as HE needs to and makes us more flexible to expand us to reach higher horizons. HIS word says When you walk through the fire the flames shall not burn you nor consume you for HE covers you with His grace and glory to protect you from all harm. HE refines and refinishes the work in you as HE transforms you from glory to glory only to be more like HIM. Let the flames of fire burn a deeper faith in God more and more. 2Cor.2:16 Isaiah 43

So, take up your shield of faith do not give in to fear and follow where HE leads. You will see and do greater things than you ever thought possible as HE works through you this day and always. Don’t ever forget where you came from and always remember how GOD brought you through this far and HE will take you the rest of the way. HE will make a way through every struggle even through sleepless nights HE’LL give you HIS peace. HE won’t forget you and remembers all HE has told you and HE will always make a way. HE will do a new thing for you, in you and through you, has HE not said it? Can you not see it, nor believe it? Call upon HIM and share together and HE will show you again the great and mighty things HE longs to do for you, for there is nothing impossible for our GOD. HE has declared and saved and proclaimed and you are HIS witness that HE is the LORD our GOD who was and is and yet to come.

John 10:14 Jesus says I am the good Shepherd, I know my sheep and they know Me, and He lays down His life for His sheep. We are the sheep of His pasture and He is our Shepherd.

God says in His word it will rain on the just as well as the unjust. He didn’t promise us a perfect life here on earth and He did say we would have tribulations. But in the midst of it all we can cling to His promise that His grace will carry us through. When we are in our weakest moments.. in Him we are made strong. Sometimes we can be caught by surprise and hit by an unexpected storm in our life but the beauty of it all Jesus has a purpose and as a result of the storm He always makes something beautiful out of it. He works in our lives in ways beyond our understanding because He is higher and all He asks is for us to Trust Him for He will never ever let us down. If there is something you are going through that is big remember God is bigger and will do for you beyond what you could ever imagine. Just this past week I was hit with a storm and as I walked through it His grace carried me though each step. There were things I had to face and each morning as I began another day I said to the Lord, “Only by Your grace.” And it was beautiful as His grace brought me through it with opportunities for me to share His love and compassion with others. So whatever storm you are facing today cling to His grace and let Him work it for His glory. I pray this word encourages you and I pray for God to calm the waves and cause your heart to stir within you of His magnificent love for you… Confirmed scriptures of His precious and powerful promises are in 2 Cor.12:9, Matt.5:45, Romans 8:28, and in John 16:33 Jesus said, These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. One day we will be with Jesus so remember my sweet sisters and dear brothers we are not home yet but we are on our way and soon it will come when we will hear His voice and see His face and we will be home at last. Someone is feeling unworthy today because of failures of the past, God wants you to know He values you more than your mind could ever fathom. His love for you is greater than any other and His thoughts of you are measureless. Psalms 139 His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness towards you is like none other. He wants you to not look at the past and don’t let it influence your present and the great future He has planned for you. Believe it and it is true, you are His master piece He created for Himself to enjoy. God doesn’t make mistakes and when He fashioned you in your mother’s womb you were gifted with talents and abilities beyond what you could ever believe! Let the beauty of Christ continue to unfold in your life in spite of what other’s may say or do. You are His new creation created for His purpose alone and you are chosen for His creative plan that you can fulfill through the Holy Spirit. 1Peter2:9 so don’t get caught up in negative thinking but renew the spirit of your mind and meditate on His word. What He says is truth and He cannot lie. HE delights and takes pleasure in you and longs to lead and guide you to His perfect plan. So trust in Him with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Prov.3:5,6

Get excited my sweet sisters and dear brothers for God has opened a door no man can shut, His mighty work in you no man can stop, in each step move forward not looking back, for greater is He in you, so keep looking up!!! Rev.3:8 With God working in you all things are possible!! This verse best describes the woman I am, my LIFE my PASSION is JESUS. It is a declaration of my identity. Every breath I take is for HIM and every thought, every word I write is all about HIM, my attitude, emotions, actions, expressions and motivation is only for HIM. In HIM I LIVE & MOVE & have my BEING.

NO ONE can separate our LOVE. MY HEART is tightly WEAVED with HIS nothing or no one can unwind. JESUS is all I LIVE for. I once lived in a dark place until HIS LIGHT of LOVE shone through and reached the depths of my broken heart and soul. HOW can I NOT GIVE HIM all of me for HE has set MY HEART FREE! This world is not my home…ALL THINGS in this world I give up so I may KNOW HIM more & more. I PRESS ON & take HOLD of HIS HAND, towards the goal for the prize of HIS high calling. LISTEN to what GOD tells you in HIS word let His principles mold your perspective.

LEARN to respond graciously and not emotionally to every problem.

LEAN on the LORD and HE will help you to solve them. HE allows temporary problems to build within you permanent benefits of a deeper dependency on HIM. You will receive a calm peaceful assurance in knowing that HE will keep HIS every promise.

Well as you read this word I pray it will strengthen and encourage you. The Lord gave me this word for you and I today from scripture. These are precious and powerful promises from His heart and as we put our trust in Him we will see miracles happen and we will reach the destiny He has planned. So do not fear who comes against you or speaks evil to you for with God on our side we shall win and not lose. No weapon formed against us will prosper and every tongue that rises against us in judgement we shall condemn for this is our inheritance. Is.54:17

Step by step I’m moving ahead, Not looking back but forward instead

My life was once a meaningless piece of clay, with no value or purpose, lost and alone Until Jesus reached down and touched me, And made me His own…

I am now a child of the King righteous, adopted, chosen and set apart for His glory.

He gave me a new heart to love Him

A new Spirit He gave me to follow after Him

Where He leads me, I will follow Him the rest of my days,

He restored what was destroyed, gave me back what was lost,

He replaced my tears with His joy, He put a new song in my heart

when there was nothing but silence…The story of my life is now a song,

A new song I sing every day, A sweet melody of praise, from my heart to the Lord

I now sing to Him, my new song for He has done marvelous things. His right hand and His holy arm has given me the victory. Psalms 98:1

He shone His light of hope and has brought me out of darkness into His marvelous Light!! And for that I will praise HIM forever  …

How can I ever thank Him for all He has done!!! When I look back to where I was to where I am today I give Him all the glory for counting me worthy to save. This word flowed from my heart when I think of all He has done. “My Life is a Song”

Wherever you are today your life may look impossible but remember, what Jesus said in Matt. 19:26, With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Let that promise of God sink into your heart and believe it. Jesus loves you and no matter where you are at in life, He will make a way for you too. Love & prayers, Lollita

May this word touch your heart I pray

It is important to know who you are in Christ and how valuable you are to Him. You are a jewel in His hand precious and priceless. He has called you by name and you belong to Him. Since you live by the Spirit keep in step with Him every day. Explore and achieve God’s great possibilities for you. Believe in yourself and accept all He has for you. He is working things out for you and allows struggles to happen and as you endure they stretch your character and strengthen your heart to be more like Him. It may not feel pleasant at the time but Praise Him and give Him thanks for there will be a glorious outcome from it all. Think back to where you were and how far God has brought you and all the things He has done for you. The enemy knows your weakness and he will do all he can to attack you in that area but don’t give him a chance. Submit to God and draw close to Him and resist the devil and he will have no choice but to flee. Praise God for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. May this word remind you of how much you are loved and inspire you to keep moving forward to all God has for you. Nothing is Impossible with God!! What He has said He will do and more!!
