A Spiritual Awakening

April 6,2020

I had a most amazing spiritual experience last night. I was so tired and couldn’t sleep and asked the Lord if I could draw close to Him and feel His embrace. I’ve never asked Him that before, but I felt anxious to sleep. Moments later Psalm 23 came to my mind and reminded me that He is my Shepherd. Words flowed from my heart in a prayer, so I quickly wrote them down then I fell asleep so soundly. I’ve been writing encouraging words at other times and posting online and thought it would be the same. The next morning when I woke up, I received a message from a woman in prison that I have just recently been in touch with from my sister. She sent me a heartbreaking message of all that was going on inside with the Coronavirus. The conditions are terrible and so sad that I broke out in tears.

I then remembered my experience last night and as I read through what I had written the Lord revealed to me it was a prayer for this woman to reassure her that He is with her. It was truly amazing and a supernatural experience that words cannot fully explain. On the other hand, I’m excited to be used by God in this way. I remember my sister and I praying together the last time we were together on March the 12th and as we prayed, we both cried out to the Lord that we want to walk in the supernatural and we won’t settle for less. This has been my second encounter and the first was a dream I had for a friend.

I believe this is just the beginning of greater things to come. Thank You Jesus ❤️

I feel in my heart this is also a word for someone out there.

If you don’t know the Lord well it’s not too late to call out to Him…

Lord Jesus,

It says in Your word that You are the good Shepherd, I want to believe that it is true and right in this moment. There’s nothing I desire more than to be with You. Will You lay me down in green pastures so I can have peace? Can You lead me beside the still waters so I can rest and sleep? My life is in such turmoil I’m overwhelmed by it all. I find I’m walking through darkness and death every day. Is it possible You can give me rest like they say ?Can you comfort my anxieties and keep me safe? There’s nothing I want more than to have rest for my soul. With Your goodness and mercy so I’m kept in control. To dwell with You always is all I’m asking for. Is it possible to accept me, no matter what I’ve done before?

Jesus answers…

Yes, I am the good Shepherd and I’ll not turn you away, My love for you is endless, I’m the truth, the life, the way, Rest my child beside me, let me take you in my arms And I’ll carry you to still waters, and keep you safe from harm. I’ll calm the storm within you, I’ll be your Shepherd, don’t you fear, I’ll stay always close beside you, Let Me dry your every tear.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10 verse 11

Call to me and I will answer and show you great and mighty things. Jeremiah 33 verse 3.

Come to Me you who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11 verse 28

A Prayer for Healing

May God’s healing presence soothe your soul

Like a soft gentle rain…

May His touch release His power

And heal you from all pain

His whispers calm your spirit

New strength flows from His grace

He stills you with His tender voice

There is no sweeter place

His waves of love they’ll take you

As deep waters call your name

You’re lifted high above the storm

You’ll never be the same

Blessed with the Best

Since I’ve been confined to my home through this pandemic, I’ve come to realize all I have right now is TIME! How crazy is that, because at one time I didn’t have time to do or finish what I started and now, I have all the time in the world. So now I take the time to reflect on what once was and what I value most in life and besides God, it’s my family! All I’m left with is the memories of days gone by. My heart breaks each day when I can no longer have fun with them and give them hugs. I thank God for each one of them and miss them lots. And I’m certainly blessed with the best family…

However, with all that being said, there is another family I value as well and miss a lot too, it’s my church family. I must say I am blessed with the best and I feel inspired to share in this note my reasons why…but first I want to tell my story of how it all started…

When my husband and I purchased a home in 2018, we knew we needed to find a good church where we could worship and fellowship together with other believers. In the past I’ve always been attracted to large congregations and there was a big church I had plans to try out. But something happened one day as my husband and I were shopping, I bumped into a pastor I hadn’t seen in years. I mentioned we were looking for a church in the area and he told us that he was the pastor of Bethel in town and he would love for us to visit. So that Sunday we decided to go. I loved the atmosphere and people were very friendly and I also liked the pastor  whom I’ve known for years. But I didn’t want my emotions to lead me and attend for that reason, so I set it aside. During the service, they had time for testimonies and that was cool and of course I quickly jumped up and thanked God for my husband that I had waited for years, had finally arrived. Everything was nice and we liked the service, but we still weren’t sure if Bethel was the place for us. After it was over we stopped in at the grocery store and met up with a lady from the church. We talked briefly and she said, “I enjoyed your testimony and I’m a single mom praying for a husband and I hope you come back.”

Her words right at that moment confirmed in my heart and Andrew’s, that’s where the Lord wanted us, and we’ve been attending ever since. Bethel is a smaller church, but I certainly have learned over the last couple of years that it’s not about a big fancy church with the best of equipment and padded pews. Churches are just a building, a place to gather together but within those four walls I’ve discovered precious and priceless treasures, that money cannot buy.  One is a jewel of love and togetherness as we dwell together in unity. It’s a bond that goes beyond material things in building a church, instead we build each other up spiritually, and in other ways as well.  There is a spiritual richness we share that’s like a taste of heaven, if I may use that expression. There is a jewel of peace and freedom in God’s presence as we worship together, which is most valuable to me, more costly than gold and after worship there’s a time of fellowship we share as we encourage each other, but it isn’t just turning around and welcome with a handshake, it goes deeper than that. The Pastor gives us about 5-8 minutes to get out of our pews to greet one another with hugs, we chat and laugh together and at times the worship leader plays his violin walking up the aisle and some of us jump and dance holding hands and we say we’ll be dancing together in heaven one day. We quickly make our rounds trying not to miss anybody, but sometimes we unmistakably do. What a priceless jewel of joy fills the sanctuary in those moments and it’s like we are ready to take wings and fly. Now when I look back I only wish I had taken a video so I could watch our fellowship times of fun and laughter and praising God. And the icing on the cake is the sermons that our Pastor preaches which are Spirit driven. Life doesn’t get any better than that, in fellowship with one another. As I pondered some more, I remembered our discussion in how to raise money for new carpet and paint for the church. I must admit I really disliked the colours of the walls and believe me, at the time if I had the money to pay for the full price of the work, I would have done it. But now I feel much different and I’d give anything to go back and settle with the old carpet and walls, just to fellowship with my church family again. The Lord has enlightened my heart to see beyond the building to the richness inside I once had, and I thank God for what He’s shown me. I valued my church family before, but now I certainly value them much more……I also love bible study because we not only learn from the Pastor but we also learn from each other and there is a bonding that is taking place and even in our prayer times on Friday nights, the Lord is moving by His Spirit in each one of us. I believe He is weaving us close knit together to fulfill His purpose in and through us as the body of Christ, to shine and light up the world for His glory!

I’m not saying our church is perfect by no means, but we are blessed to dwell together in unity as the scripture says in Psalm 133:1 “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” That’s exciting because that is exactly what’s happening and it so good and so pleasing and pleasant, and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to fellowship there again. And with the Spirit of God first and foremost I can see as we flow in the Spirit in unity with each other, we will use our different gifts God has given us to accomplish great things for the kingdom of God. He has no limits and can do greater than we could ever ask or think.  As I write this, Psalm 90 verse 17 and chapter 92 verse 4, is my prayer…

Let Your beauty O Lord be upon us and establish the work of our hands, Yes establish the work of our hands. You Lord will make us glad through Your work and we will triumph in the work of Your hands. Lord our hands are Your hands, and we will work together according to Your plan. And we will give You all honour and praise. Amen and Amen

I’ve learned it’s not about the size of church and large congregations because where two or more are gathered He is there. And I’ve proved His word to be true for in  Proverbs 16 verse 9 and “A woman’s heart, plans her way, but the Lord directs her steps.” So, you see my heart’s plan didn’t work because the Lord directed my steps on a different path from mine and I’m so glad He did!! Praise God and I say thank You Jesus for all You have done and yet will do. Love & Blessings, Jan

Note: I use the NKJV in most of my writing and I personalize quite a bit as well. You will notice I changed the gender of the verse from man to woman in Proverbs 16:9 so it speaks to me directly in a personal way.

My Daily Routine This is How I Cope

My goal is to not let this crisis change me in a negative way. My desire is to be the woman I am, and have always been, and react to it all in a positive manner, for a positive outcome. It’s easy to get caught up in all the gloom and despair around me by listening to the news etc.  But I’m determined to dwell on being hopeful instead of feeling hopeless. I am made up of spirit, soul and body, so it’s important for me to nurture and nourish each part daily, so I may still grow and flourish for the present and future.

Well my first and foremost part is my spirit…

And when I first open my eyes each morning, I thank God for another new beautiful day and then grab a cup of coffee. ~smile~

I keep my spirit in tune with His by praising Him, even if my feelings aren’t there, they eventually catch up. I turn on worship songs and I read a scripture in Psalms. I find a Psalm a day, keeps me calm each day. I also know it is important for me not to lose the new song, the Lord has put in my heart and to keep on singing.

Next part is my soul…

That’s where my will and emotions can go crazy, but instead I take control and continue to pray and worship with a grateful heart even in the midst of this storm. And how beautiful as God fills me with His perfect peace.

Now my next part is my body…

I can’t just let myself go and not care whether I eat or sleep or what I look like. Because if I don’t care, then that’s not me, because I do care about me in how I look, and it’s all good for my self-esteem and state of mind to continue on, the same as I did before…

I first soak in the tub and as I do I soak in the presence of the Lord as I listen to gospel songs from my phone. Then I get dressed in nice clothes and last but not least, my hair and face. I have a very strict routine and in each step, as I apply my make up, I will pray and sing praises to the Lord. And then I know I have to eat the right kind of foods as well, so I have a good breakfast and then I’m ready for the day and I then ask the Lord what He would have me do.

This may not seem realistic to you, but this is what I have done every day and will continue to do. Some think you have to be on your knees to pray, but to me prayer is communing with the Lord and talking to Him, wherever I am or whatever I am doing.

Now before I finish there is another part of me that can really lose control if I let it, but I stop it in it’s tracks so it won’t get carried away.

That is my mind, wow if I don’t feed it on good things but only on negative, it can drive me crazy and get carried away. All that enters my mind eventually seeps into my heart and will damage it. I want to keep a healthy heart and mind, body, soul and spirit, so until this isolation is over, and even after…

I will keep my mind thinking good thoughts…I’m in charge of my well-being and my mind, plays a very significant role in all of this. That’s where self-control comes in and I will take control of my senses, which are what I look at and what I listen to, and even the words I speak. I will speak life into my inner being! My desire is to be the woman God wants me to be, so I can please Him and fulfil His plan and purpose.

Here are a few power scriptures to personalize and speak into your life…

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

I can do all things, through Christ who strengthens me!

Philippians chapter 4 verses 6- 8, 13 ( NKJV)

I pray my daily routine will encourage you and help you in some way as we go through this crisis.

But remember, a crisis is nothing, when Christ is our everything! God bless!

Peace in the Midst of the Storm

With ALL the uncertainty in the world today the only thing that is certain in my life is my relationship with the LORD. My hope is built on nothing less than HIM. I don’t know how people can survive without HIM and depend on other means to get them through. No matter what people put their hope in, whether it be money, wealth, their home, their career, or material things, it certainly isn’t going to rescue them from calamities and disease, earthquakes and more.

But the beauty of it all, through it all, Jesus my Saviour, rescues me from the cares and calamities of the world. He listens and delivers me from all my fears. Ps.34:4 He protects, provides, and gives joy, peace and strength and gives new hope no matter what I face each day. In Lamentations 3 it says, Through the Lord’s mercies I am not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not, they are new every morning! Great is HIS faithfulness!! My soul says, The LORD is my portion, therefore I hope in HIM. The LORD is good to those who wait for HIM, to the soul who seeks HIM.

No one knows what will happen in the future and GOD doesn’t promise us tomorrow, but HE does promise HE will never leave us nor forsake us. In Deuteronomy 31:6 it says, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, so in ME you will have peace. In the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” The Lord sees the bigger picture and He has greater plans than our minds could ever fathom. What we are experiencing now with this pandemic we have nothing to fear but look up and be ready for HE is coming soon! If you don’t know Jesus now is the time to give your heart and life to Him and you can live in peace, joy and strength until the day He returns!! Hallelujah!! Keep safe & be healthy, Love & prayers, Lollita Faith

No Need to Fear

Note: I wrote this March 10th just one week before Coronavirus became an pandemic. Now we are all confined to our homes, the world has stopped as businesses are closing and much more but in the midst of it all God’s word stands strong and will not be shaken and we can continue to stand firm on His promise of protection in this powerful Psalm.

“I love the precious Psalm 91. What a powerful word written not only for days of old, but also for us today. Even in the midst of troubles around us we have nothing to fear for the Lord has given us promises to cling to such as this powerful Psalm. Make it your daily prayer…”

As I dwell in the secret place of the Most High

I will be safe under the shadow of the Almighty

I will say of the Lord,

“He is my refuge and my fortress

He is my God and I will trust in Him.”

He delivers me from the snare of the enemy

And from the perilous pestilence

He covers me with His feathers

And under His wings I take refuge

His truth is my shield and buckler

I will not be afraid of the terror by night

Nor of the arrow that flies by day

Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness

Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noon

A thousand will fall at my side

And ten thousand at our right hand, it will not come near me

With my eyes I will see the reward of the wicked

Since I have made the Lord my refuge

And the Most High my dwelling place,

No evil will destroy me and no plague will come near my home

God will give His angels to protect me and to keep me in all of my ways

In their hands they lift me up

I will tread on the lion and the cobra, and the serpent, I trample under my feet

In verses 14-16 The Lord says, since I have set my love on Him, He will deliver me

He will set me on high because I know His name

As I call upon Him, He will answer me

He will be with me in trouble

He will deliver me and honour me

With long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation!

Whatever goes on in this world I stand on God’s word and His promises for myself and my family. I believe every word and speak it over us every day. What a great God is He, and He is faithful and removes all our fear. If you know Him, enjoy His presence and His protection, provision and precious blessings. We may not know about tomorrow but we do know we can trust Him through it all! And If you don’t know Him it’s not too late to seek Him while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near.

Love and prayers, Lollita Faith (Jan Hodgins)

Exercise Your Faith

I believe the Lord has put this word on my heart not only for me, but for you as well. Walk in the power of His word and watch the mighty work of His hands come to pass in your life. What God says He will do!! I am excited about this word and I pray it will excite you as well!!

“Exercise your faith and be beautiful, for you are created to be more than you could ever think in your mind…Know who you are and who you belong to and what you can accomplish through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you. You can do all things through Christ, for He gives you the strength. Phil.4:13

~No  one can separate you from His love! Romans 8:38,39

~No one can close the door God has opened! Rev. 3:8

~No one can stop His hand from working in your life! Isaiah 43:13

You are His possession, so expect opposition and don’t believe the lies, but obey the truth, for when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him!! Isaiah 59:19

Have faith with great expectation and sweet anticipation, for soon there will be a great celebration! Excel in His excellent greatness and you will accomplish His magnificent plan! Allow Him to move through you and don’t give up but keep in step with the Spirit daily. Galatians 5:25

You exercise your faith as you read and meditate on His word.  He will also energize you and keep you fit for the future.  So, let go of the past and reach forward to the things of the future. Phil. 3:13. Enjoy each present moment and get excited for He will do greater things for you than you could ever ask or think!! Ephesians 3:20

Another important point in James 2:14-26 it says, Faith without works is dead, so let’s not only read His word and meditate on it but walk in obedience to it. When the Lord speaks as sometimes He will, it will always be according to His word.

So, get READY!!

What He says, Do it…Where He sends, Go for it.

God bless you everyone!! Love & prayers, Lollita (Jan)

Keep on Keeping on

The Lord inspired me with the scriptures in Jude 18,19,20,21,24,25.

In verse 18 it says in the last time there will be mockers who walk according to their own ungodly lusts, they cause divisions not having the Spirit.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. How beautiful as I meditated on them and applied them to my life.

I will BUILD up myself on my most holy Faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

I will KEEP myself in the love of God

I will LOOK for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

I will also SHOW mercy (compassion) to others

I will GIVE GLORY to HIM who is able to KEEP me from falling

He presents me faultless, before the presence of HIS glory

With exceeding JOY. To God our Savior, who alone is wise,

Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen

It is important to keep in the love of God and not get distracted with other things but stay focused on Him. When I KEEP myself in the love of God, He KEEPS me from falling. What a wonderful thought and as I continue to BUILD myself up and PRAY in the Holy Spirit, He presents me faultless in the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. I will LOOK for His mercy and I will be merciful to others for He shows mercy to me.  Then the Lord brought to my attention Lamentations3:22,23 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions they fail not they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore, I hope in HIM. Let us be encouraged with this word and continue to build and strengthen our souls.

Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your word, Help me to feed upon Your word daily. I will build up myself and pray in the Holy Spirit. Help me to keep walking in Your ways. May I be aware of Your love and mercy towards me and show Your love and mercy to others. Thank You for Your faithfulness. In Your precious name, Amen +~

A Sweet Vessel of Honor

At the beginning of my journey my desire was to be different from the women of the world. I desired to be pure and holy, a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work as it says in 2 Timothy 2:21.

My heart overflowed with these words on July of 1999…I want to stand up and be different from the women of the world, I want to shine forth Your glory to a world that’s grown so cold, Cover my head with Your veil of holiness, clothe me with Your robe of righteousness, guide my feet to walk in wisdom, I will raise my hands in worship I will praise You all day long I will put my hand in Your hand, for in my heart You placed Your song, As we walk in Your will together oh so close side by side I will give You all the glory, for Your Savior and my Guide.

“A sweet woman of grace who is touched by the Masters’ hand shall reveal beauty beyond everyone’s belief. Her unquenchable love for the Lord grows with every beat of her heart and she delights in Him with every breath she takes. Her soul sings her song of love as she dances in step with her Savior and Lord. As she dwells in the secret place of His presence her spirit is renewed by His grace every day from glory to glory. An everlasting love flows as His hand weaves her heart so closely to His. They are woven so closely together, no one can separate for His deep Love is forever. Her relationship with Christ, the Giver of grace, causes her to abound in every good word and deed. Her smile can warm the coldest heart and her life shines and reflects the beauty of Christ with a youthful glow. Her joy is contagious and can heal a broken heart. Her emotions are governed by her loving and compassionate Savior. She trusts in Him completely, confiding in Him with every step she takes and only walks and moves as directed by the Holy Spirit. Her flaws and failures keep her humble. Her faith in Christ enables her to pick herself up and move on and work with what she has and all she can be through the power of His strength. Her thoughts are of lovely things, pure in heart with a positive outlook in everything she experiences. She is rich in spirit with meekness and a quietness that only comes from Him. Her willing hands with an open heart touch the weary and give hope to the hopeless as she shares her gift with others. Her countenance lights up the darkness as she passes by. She stands out in a crowd and everyone in her wake cannot help but hold her in high esteem for all that she is and believes. Her spiritual beauty that shines from the inside out is the perfect symbol of a woman after God`s own heart.”

A new woman of grace is what I long to be, so I can touch others and set people free, Jesus the giver of life filled with grace, is a gift beyond measure as I seek His face. Fashioned by His hand with articulate style, Graced with His beauty makes my life worthwhile.

I pray these words will be a blessing to you and inspire you to also stand up and be different and cause your heart to also long for His and be His vessel of honor. Don’t pay attention to what others say about you or what they may think. Keep striving to please the Lord, for in His eyes you are precious and priceless and that’s all that matters.

Everyday I seek His face and strive to be His sweet vessel of honor so I will be pleasing in His sight at all times.

Love & blessings my friends, you are loved, Jan

Walk Through the Open Door

This is a word the Lord put on my heart for you…

“Just when you think it’s over God will surprise you with something beyond what you could ever believe right now…He is a promise keeper and will never break His promise.”

When some things come to an end, New things are about to begin, When one door closes a new one will open, When plans fail, God’s plan for you shall always win, When the road seems dark, His light of hope shines beyond the darkness, When you reach a bend in the road He will lead you to His new plan, When the fog blurs your sight and you can’t see, The Holy Spirit will give you new vision…

‎Remember this.. No one can stop the winds that blow and the seas that roar, No one can change the course of the sun by day or the moon by night, or adjust the pattern of the stars in the sky and God says the same for your life..

No man can stop His hand nor change His course, Nor adjust the pattern and plan He has purposed for YOU, So do not fear and walk through the open door that no man can shut and be blessed in Jesus name.

Trust in His promise for you…

Fear not for I have called you by name, you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43: 1,2 verse 4 says You are precious in His sight and He reminds you of how much you are loved.

Revelation 3:8, Jeremiah 29:11

A Life of Sacrifice in 2020

This word flowed from my heart on January the 1st

According to His word this is my passionate desire for this new year 2020…story of my rock

Sacrifice of Thanksgiving

I will live my life with a sacrifice of thanksgiving and have a thankful heart in everything that comes my way. In Psalm 116 verse 17 it says I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and I will call upon the Lord.

Sacrifice of Praise

I will give the Lord all my praise and worship with all of my heart, soul and mind. In Hebrews 13 verse 15 it says, Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

Sacrifice my Time

I will sacrifice my time and take time to spend with Him alone in the secret place. Jesus always took the time to go alone and pray to His Father, and so will I. Matthew 14 verse 23

Sacrifice my Will for His

I will sacrifice my will and desires and only live according to His will and what He desires. It’s not about me but it’s all about Him. Romans 12 verse 1. I will present my body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, according to His word.

Sacrifice my Mind

I will sacrifice my mind and keep my mind pure and focused on Him and not worldly things. I will not be conformed to this world but I will be transformed by the renewing of my mind, so I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12 verse 1. Psalm 19 verse 14, Isaiah 26 verse 3, Philippians 4 verse 8

Hallelujah! I am excited for this New Year and for all that God has planned in my life and yours. Love & Blessings

You are not Alone

There is no need to be anxious and there is no need to fear. Why? Because we have God who is with us and we can trust Him to take care of every situation.

God says in Philippians 4 verses 6 and 7 to be anxious for nothing, why? Because He will take care of you, so with a thankful heart give it all to Him and pray earnestly. When you truly believe He will take care of all that troubles you, His peace will flow in you and through you. His peace is beyond what the world gives, and His peace will guard your heart and mind. So, let go of those anxious thoughts and trust Him. You are not alone He is with you and goes with you always! He loves you with an everlasting love. It is important to spend time with the Lord and build that trust in Him, it doesn’t come naturally.

As we go on to verse 8 of that chapter it says to keep your mind on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and good and meditate on all that is praiseworthy. It is so important to keep our thoughts in control on good things.

In Psalm 94 verse 19 there’s a sweet promise that says in the multitude of anxieties within me, His comforts delight my soul.

What are some of His comforts? Peace is a number one comfort and as we trust in His promises such as Proverbs 3 verses 5 & 6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

In Matthew 11 verse 28  Come to Him and He will give you rest. He will also renew, refresh and revive you.

In Psalm 34 verse 18 The Lord promises to be close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit.

We have comfort in His word look up 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. Psalm 147:3. Psalm 23:4

Take the time each day to spend in His presence, instead of looking for another source of help, look to Him and watch what He will do for you and in you and through you. I guarantee He won’t let you down. He has always been there for me and He will for you too. Give it all to Him right now…

Lord Jesus,

I give to You all my anxieties and worries, and I leave them with You. I believe You will comfort me with Your peace and Your presence right at this moment. I thank You for all I’m going through and I know You will make a way for me. I believe in Your promises and I know You will guard my heart and mind as I give it all to you right now. In Your precious name, Amen

Now that you have given it all to Him enjoy the beauty around you, enjoy the rest of your day and be blessed 🙂

I was raised to go to church and fell far from God because I was more religious than anything. I didn’t know of a relationship with Jesus through His Holy Spirit. At a very young age I prayed the sinner’s prayer. I remember it felt good inside, but it wore off the next day. I was not aware of how to build a relationship with Christ and knew nothing about growing spiritually. I had no idea you could know Him on a personal level, and He would be my friend to lead me and guide my steps each day. It saddens my heart to see and hear of so many other lost wandering sheep that also followed the religious path to no avail. It’s not about religion and all the work you do in church or how many times you attend in a week. But it’s all about Him. The more time you spend with Him the more you will get to know Him, hear Him and feel Him. It is when we walk in obedience to Him by faith and not allow our feelings or friends or intellect or any other influences interfere with our relationship with Him. You will then enter into a whole new spiritual realm much greater and deeper than you’ve ever known. When the Lord showed me the importance of a relationship with Him He gave me a unique explanation of the word relationship.

R –Receive Him Acts 2:38

E –Enter into His presence Psalms 98:1, Psalms 100:4

L –Love the Lord Thy God Matt. 22:37

A –Accept and Acknowledge Him and His plans Prov.3:6

T –Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Prov.3:5

I – Intercede Be an Intercessor 1 Thess.5:17

O -Obey Him 1 Sam. 15:22

N –Nourish it, feed it and maintain 1 Peter 2:2, Jer.15:16

S – Servant’s heart be His servant Ephesians 6:6

H –Humility – Die to self on a daily basis Acts 20:19

I – Increase in John 3:30 it says, He must Increase we decrease.

P –Patience- wait on Him His timing is perfect. James 1:3,4.

The world speaks of investments and how important they are such as RRSP’s etc. But what do I invest spiritually? Do I invest quality time with the Lord? Do I build treasures down here or up in heaven? What are some spiritual investments I can make? The Lord certainly made me think and I put His word into action. There’s more to a relationship with the Lord than to open the bible each morning and read a portion for 5 minutes and out the door. And go about your daily activities as usual without any other communication with Him until you go to bed at night. Then you’re so tired you fall asleep when He tries to tell you something. That is not a good scenario. Let’s compare our relationship with Him as a husband and wife. What kind of relationship would they have if they only spent a few minutes in the morning together and a few minutes at night can you honestly think that would be enough to build a solid relationship? I don’t think so. Communication is number one and it is the same in relationship with the Lord.

Dear Lord Jesus,  Here’s my heart’s desire. Help me to be more aware of Your presence everywhere I go. May I take the time to thank you throughout the day for all You have blessed me with. May my eyes see Your blessings in everything I do and say. May I constantly communicate with You every moment and keep my mind focused on spiritual thoughts and my voice speak words to uplift and build and never tear down. Use me in miraculous ways as I pattern my life after You. Amen

Here's my heart Lord

This is Your Moment in Time

~In January of 2013 I was right at a crossroad in my life where I needed to make an important decision. I was in a relationship that wasn’t going anywhere and it was time to do some deep soul searching so I asked myself some questions. At this place in my life I discovered how important it was for me to reflect upon the woman I am, where am I going? what am I going to do about it? and how am I going to get there? It was a turning point for me and it was amazing all that transpired. I have inserted a copy of this questionnaire in case you too would like to do some deep soul searching. I believe God will reveal things to you beyond what you could ever believe. This could be a serious assignment for you as it was for me, so don’t take it lightly and don’t forget to pray as you go through it. I’ll be praying for you as well. Let’s Get started on the new you from a spiritual point of view! you’re going to Get out from down under! Get rid of things that hinder! Get over the past and Get into all you can be and Go for all you can Get. HOW?? Give it your best and be honest with yourself. Take your time to answer each question for this is a serious assignment if you want to move ahead and achieve your dreams.

MY POSITIVE PROCLAMATION:

This is my time, this is my moment to explore my inner feelings and experiences.

My time to address things in my life I need to acknowledge and change.

~Who am I and how do I feel about myself right at this moment?

(write down your feelings)

~What motivates me and makes me all that I am and can be?

~Do I have someone in my life that inspires me and encourages me?

(write down who has the most influence on you and is there a positive or negative result from the relationship?)

~Where am I, at this moment and where am I going?

~Have I set goals for me to get there? Or do I sit day after day, wishing and hoping.

~Is it so important to me to be all that I can be and why?

~What are my needs desires and wants??

~How can I fulfill them?

~Why is it important that I do?

~What will I become if I don’t?

~Where will I be if I don’t?

MY RESULTS:

I came to the conclusion I needed to end the relationship I was in if I wanted to move forward in my walk with the Lord. It was important for me to reach my destiny that God had planned for me and it certainly wasn’t going to happen if I were to continue on with him, so that was it I did it.

Well to my surprise through this whole experience I wrote a book titled, True Reflection 14 Steps to Unfading Beauty and created a page on Facebook True Reflection Inner Beauty @innerspiritbeauty if you wish to follow it. But that’s not all 4 years later the Lord sent the right man into my life and we were married in 2018. Now when I look back I’m glad I went through this whole experience. I achieved a positive outcome for me that God had planned instead of settling and trying to work it out on my own.

I’m going to share on this blog other personal experiences I’ve had over the years and I pray you will be blessed through them. I will do my best to post once a week or more if possible. My life is busier now as I prepare for public speaking engagements in the future. I’ll be sharing my message of hope, Life is Worth Living. I am excited to see all God does as I keep moving forward following His footsteps.

God bless

Hope for the Hopeless

There is hope for the hopeless, and just when you think it is over new life in you is yet to begin. I found this to be true in my own life and it is available for you as well…

My heart is glad, and my glory rejoices, my flesh also rests in hope. O Lord You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You maintain my lot and the lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.

Yes, I have a good inheritance! I will bless the Lord who counsels me, my heart instructs me through the night. Therefore, I will follow my heart and I will set the Lord always before me. Since He is at my right hand I shall not be moved!!

He shows me the path of life He has planned, in His presence is fullness of joy. At His right hand are pleasures forevermore. To Him I will sing, I will sing praises! My weapon is a melody as I sing from my heart to His. We are united in love forever and the enemy is defeated in every song I sing. The enemy is powerless against the power of God living in me. Does this all sound too good to be true?

This is the truth of God’s word and as we speak it and believe it we can live it daily!

But it’s our daily choice and the more we put into our relationship with the Lord the more we will receive from Him. I’m not talking about receiving earthly riches or wealth either, but spiritual blessings that our minds could never comprehend. The more we seek Him the more we will find His pleasant places, His richest blessings and His sweetest presence! The Lord is a rich treasure to discover beyond any other…I once was in a desperate place and needed to find out if He was real. I wept many times at the altar but also at home I cried out to Him to make Himself real to me and He did! What a glorious God full of compassion with great mercy and grace, He is alive, that I know for sure, because over the years, He has proved His love for me, and He will do the same for you.

Lord Jesus,

Your precious gift of grace I receive in every moment of life. I feel Your strength when I am weak, and I give You all praise. Only by Your grace do I awaken each morning. How marvelous You are for Your mercies are new. Only by Your grace, I make it through another day. Great is Your faithfulness, there is no one like You. I thank You for Your gift of grace, this day & always. Amen

His Footsteps are My Pathway

As I read Psalms 85 verse 13 Righteousness will go before Him and shall make HIS footsteps our pathway. (NKJV) How beautiful those words as they penetrated my heart, they also enlightened my eyes to see that righteousness went before the Lord as He walked on this earth. And righteousness made the LORD’s footsteps OUR pathway. Now we follow in the footsteps of JESUS. In Psalms 23 verse 3 says, “He restores my soul, He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake.” How amazing as He restores our soul and leads and guides us daily, we have nothing to fear.

In the middle of the night on June 25th I was inspired to write this prayer…

LORD JESUS,  Your footsteps mark my pathway and they’ll lead me straight to You. Your righteousness goes before me and in each step your mercy and grace hold me up. I will walk in the spirit and never look back but I’ll keep my eyes on you Jesus, for in You I put my trust. My heart is ignited with passion for Yours alone, for You have renewed my mind to dwell on things above. You have enlightened my eyes to see clearly heavenly realms I’ve never known before. Melodies of praise sing deep within my soul always. My hope is in You and as I follow in Your footsteps, I will reach my heavenly goal. Without You what would I do and where could I go? My life is meaningless and empty without You, so I shall follow in your footsteps, for I know where you go, I go, and I’ll be safe forevermore. As I keep my eyes, my mind, my heart and my soul connected with Yours, I will reach my final destination, which is truly my desire, for I know each step in the Spirit, will lead me straight to You. In Your precious name, Amen and Amen.

When I reached rock bottom in life, I discovered the Rock of my Salvation. His name is JESUS and just when I had reached the end of my rope, He reached down and pulled me out of the deep miry clay, where I had lost all hope. He is now my ROCK on which I build my life. He is my firm foundation on which I stand. In Psalms 18 verse 1-3 says, “I will love You O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my ROCK and my fortress and deliverer, my God my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; so, I shall be saved from my enemies.” How powerful those words are for they speak the truth. In Him I am safe from the demons who tried to destroy me, through Him I can do all things and with Him I will follow where He leads me always. Oh how I love Him! Thank You Jesus for this wonderful life I now live because of You. My prayer is for others to also experience this new life in You and discover Your path beyond any other.

May the presence of His peace be upon you and His joy overflow you like rivers. There is none other in this world that can satisfy you more than HIM.

Love & blessings, Lollita Faith

My All Things are Possible Chapter

Someone told me I have crazy faith and how can I believe so strongly in something I cannot see. I shared with them my faith comes from God and I believe in His word. But there is more to be shared which is a little more personal. I had a great miracle take place in my life. I was raised in a Christian home. I attended church on a regular basis but as I grew older I rebelled against God. I started drinking heavily and the more I drank the more I didn’t care whether I lived or died. One night while heavily intoxicated I took an overdose of sleeping pills and fell into a coma. My friend happened to find me 6 hours later and rushed me to the hospital. The medical staff frantically tried their best to revive me but discovered the drugs were already in my bloodstream and it was too late. My body began to shut down, my kidneys stopped functioning and my lungs were filling up with fluid. When my mom received the news and there was nothing more that could be done she began to seek God and pray. My mom had very strong faith in God and she would take risks and step out in faith to see God’s hand move in miraculous ways. Her faith was tested when this happened to me but she was determined she would not give up. She was more concerned of my spiritual condition than anything else. She knew what my soul was destined for and would not accept it. She prayed boldly to the Lord. She visited every day and as she stood at the end of my bed she prayed for a miracle. Five days later it happened the doctor was amazed to see my body move. I remember as I woke up I could feel the presence of Jesus in my heart. I looked up at my mom and said, “Mom I want to go home” There was a lot of rejoicing that day and the doctor stared in unbelief yet he could see it was true. A miracle had happened and it was impossible for it to be anything else then God’s miraculous power. So you see that is why I have strong Faith in God. That is why I believe there is Power in Prayer. Nothing is impossible to God. “Thank You Father for reviving me for such a time as this!! You have made something beautiful out of all my brokenness. I thank You for my mom being such a powerful prayer warrior for I believe You answered her prayers in healing my body and soul. To You Father be all the glory”

God bless you all and I pray my experience builds up your faith in believing All things are Possible with God!! Love Lollita

Let us Rise Up & Build

God’s message today comes from the Word of God in Nehemiah 4, the story is one of the most amazing victories in the Bible. Against all odds, God’s people, under Nehemiah’s leadership, rebuilt the devastated walls and gates of Jerusalem in just 52 days but not without controversy.

In Nehemiah chapter 2 at the end of verse 18 They said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. They were laughed at and despised and they said, What is this thing you are doing? V 20 But Nehemiah answered The “God of heaven Himself, will prosper us.”

Chapter 4 verse 6 when they were halfway up the wall, people came against them but nevertheless they prayed and kept an eye on them. In verse 10 their strength was failing them, and Judah said, we are not able to build the wall. There adversaries had plans to kill them and cause the work to cease verse 11

Then Nehemiah had a plan and positioned the people in designated places and said to them, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome!”

Then God had brought the enemies plot to nothing and they went back to work on the wall. Verse 15b He also said, “Our God will fight for us!” Verse 20

So, they labored in their work and completed what they were assigned to do. Is there something the Lord has called you to do? Then rise up and build and set your hands to do this good work…I love the scripture in Psalm 90:16,17 and the Lord reminded me of it this morning and I personalized it and made it my prayer to Him, and may it be yours

+Lord, Let Your work appear to me Your servant and Your glory to my children. Let Your beauty O Lord my God be upon me and establish the work of my hands, yes establish the work of my hands. Holy Spirit, I love you and my heart is open to obey. Lead me, guide me, fill me to overflowing with Your power. Keep my eyes focused, my ears attentive to Your voice, with my mind filled to overflowing with Your thoughts and my feet to walk in Your way with Your wisdom, so I may accomplish all that I am called to do! I believe I will triumph in the work of Your hands, working through mine. Amen and Amen+

In the end when His work is completed in and through us there is a glorious outcome in more ways than one and as we trust Him and obey victories are won!…In Psalm 92 verse 4 it says,  “For You O Lord have made me glad through Your work, I will triumph in the works of Your hands!!” Hallelujah, we will triumph as we trust Him and follow His leading. Even when people come against us and say what are you doing? Well, as back in Nehemiah’s day, we will not be afraid, but we will remind ourselves, Our God is great and awesome!! We will continue to follow with confidence knowing that God Himself is with us and will prosper us. When we are halfway there, we won’t give up but look at where He has brought us so far and keep moving forward to finish all He has planned. Remember in verse 20, of Nehemiah chapter 2, God will fight for us!! And yes He will for us today, we cannot fail, but win, for with God all things are possible!! I pray this word is a blessing to you and I thank God for all that He does in and through us from this day forward! Love & Blessings, Lollita
