You are Important to God

Have you ever wondered why wild flowers of various kinds blossom on the sides of the highway and even on mountainsides and in fields?

Where do they come from and who planted them?

Well I remember this one day as I drove along the highway and looked out at the wild flowers I felt as worthless as they. But you know something? I learned a lesson that day that touched my heart and made me realise that those flowers were more than just weeds. They were planted by God for a purpose! Not only that, God created me for a purpose and I am significant in His eyes, no matter how others look at me or what they may think or say. That evening I was inspired to write this poem and from that moment on when I see the wild flowers along the highways or country roads I’m reminded of my worth and I smile and say, thank You Lord for what You have taught me…

“There is beauty in wild flowers, but their looked upon as weeds, They are growing for a purpose, for it’s God who plants their seeds. You will see them on the highways, in fields where no one dwells. They are blooming in green pastures, where he leads us His words tells. If you feel just like this flower, in the distance set aside, Remember there’s a purpose if in Him you will abide. You’re created for much greater than your mind can comprehend, So don’t give up and wither, for His dream to you He’ll send. In all things there’s a purpose, at this time you know not why. But the best is yet to come for you’re destined from on high. Weak things may have no meaning to this world who thinks it’s strong, But to God the weak is mighty, with His power He’ll prove them wrong, If you feel your life is useless and you could never be a rose, Just watch the seed God planted, how it blossoms as it grows.”

If you feel the same as I once did, well I hope your spirit is now lifted and you realise how important you are to God. He has a great plan for you and will lead you to your divine destiny and His dream for you.
