A Cry for Help

There are times when the enemy comes in like a flood and he tries to steal, kill and destroy us. And even though it seems at times he succeeds, he really fails in the end. Because what he steals from us God gives back so much more, what he kills in us God revives and renews greater than before! What he destroys God restores giving us hope and a future! If you are under attack from the enemy don’t let him overtake you, but let God take over and watch how He turns the impossible into the possible and He will amaze you, if you don’t give up, just simply trust Him. David in the book of Psalms cried out to God in desperation many times! I was inspired to personalize his prayer in Psalm chapter 143. I pray you will be strengthened and encouraged…

Hear my prayer O Lord, listen to the cries of my heart, I am crushed by the enemy, he makes me dwell In darkness. My spirit is overwhelmed within me, my heart is distressed. I think back to days gone by and I meditate on all You have done. In this moment I call out to You, my soul thirsts and longs for You. May I hear Your voice for my spirit fails and needs Your touch. Let me hear Your loving kindness In the morning as I put my trust in You. Show me the path to walk for I lift up my soul to You. Deliver me O Lord from the enemy. In You I take shelter, teach me to do Your will. For You are my God, Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. Revive me O Lord for Your namesake for Your righteousness sake bring my soul out of trouble. In Your mercy cut off and destroy all who afflict my soul. For I am Yours and You are mine! You Lord are my loving kindness, my fortress, my high tower, my deliverer and my shield! In You I hide and with You I am safe, for I trust in You and Your word! Amen and Amen

We all can learn from David and the steps he took to revive his heart.

He first sought God in prayer! He poured out his heart to Him. He meditated on the things God had worked out for him in the past. He asked for guidance and deliverance from the enemy. He asked God to revive Him! And last but not least he trusted in Him! That’s what we need to do today is to know who God is and all He can do for us and simply trust Him and watch His hand move mightily in our lives!

May His peace abound in you more and more, you are loved, Jan (Lollita Faith)
